Weekday riding here is great. Seldom see another bike. Better yet no head-on meetings.

First ride since the Hangover Scrambles. Go see if the snow is gone from Tillamook forest.

Before the ride. Nice and clean! At Roger's Camp.

Chute trail. Had a temporary closed sign posted. I went another route.

No snow yet! Yay! Snow is the Devil's handiwork.

Found the accursed stuff. This is the top of Firebreak 5. The bike was idling in gear without the tire touching ground. The snow is deeper than that. I was able to get around pretty well as long as there was a tire track. The trucks packed the snow enough that I didn't sink. But the weenies chickened out here. About the highest point in the area. If they would've kept going I could've made it over to the Lyda camp area.

Loaded up and heading home. My knees start hurting after a few hours. I wish I was still 20.
