| PNW Riders   Joined: Feb 2004 From: Seattle, WA |  AMA Supercross heads to Seattle with James Stewart only 5 points behind Chad Reed AMA Supercross heads to Seattle with James Stewart only 5 points behind Chad Reed April 6, 2009 By Darren Beatty After a two week break from racing, the AMA Supercross FIM World Championship series, heads to Seattle Washington for round 15 of the 17 round season. After a second win in a row in the series, San Miguel Yamaha's James Stewart is now a mere 5 points behind Rockstar Makita Suzuki's own Chad Reed in the points race for the final round in Las Vegas on May 2nd. Chad Reed has not won since the St. Louis Round; where James Stewart recovered from a series of crashes, yet still came up short, settling for second place. Since Round 12, the story has been the same. Stewart vs. Reed. Reed needs to beat Stewart to the line at least once more to solidify his championship, with only two rounds remaining! For the first time back from a viral infection, Washington’s own, Ryan Villapoto will be back on the seat, after a two week break due to his illness. With weather reaching a possible 70 degrees in downtown Seattle, and the drama in the 450 class coming to a close, the racing at Seattle should be some of the best seen all year! |

   | The last race was a barn burner with multiple lead changes and a touch in mid air while side by side over a triple jump! That pic above is from after the race where they had a serious "talk"! This should be a fantastic race! |

Stewart also had a better tighter line and pushed Chad aside to take the lead in the final. They also had words after the final too. Great racing.... |

 On a serious note... I did not know that these two were enemies. They talk civil amongst media interviews. huh. BTW... found this online. Wow. I missed a great race. You can see they were really fighting until about 3 laps to go.  part1 part 2 | |

Now if someone is going to report on the Supercross can it be someone that follows it and knows about it please thank you |

| Shredder  Joined: Feb 2009 From: Seattle WA I Ride: 2004 ZX10R, 2001 GSXR 1000 | Bubba and Reed have hated each other since way back in their AMA 125 outdoor MX days, when Yamaha was bringing the 250 four strokes into the class. Must've been abt 5 or 6 yrs or more? I have NEVER seen a more awesome intimidation/beat-down move in a race than when Bubba pulled over in the middle of the race on his KX125, let Reed pass him on his YZ250F, followed him around for a lap and then, smoked his ass for the win by abt a half a minute at the end of the moto. On the podium at the end of the day, Bubba said that he was just making Reed stop talking all that crap about how he could run with Bubba if he could only get a good start. Reed had no room for excuses on that 250 going up against a grid full of 125's that season and Bubba put him in his place. He did it where it mattered too, on the track. Bubba FTW 4/18/09.
