Thumbs up Spoiler... Las Vegas
Stewart took the championship
Reed took second in points

Villopoto won the race, reed 2nd, stewart 3rd.

I was really disappointed to see Stewart play it safe and take 3rd at vegas, but he still won the championship and I suppose it shows maturity. Reed on the other hand...what a dirty rider.. Lol!

Overall, great race! And I'd rather see stewart play it safe and win, then push it and crash, giving points lead to Reed. I think that's what Stewart and his team was thinking too.

RF, agree with you. Stewart knew he needed a third place if Reed won. Reed knows, James can totally outride him and would lose if Stewart didn't make any mistakes and take himself out of the race. That is why Reed tried to do it for him. Last week in SLC Suzuki cried like little girls about Chisholm. Wonder how Reed's cheap attempt plays out. Guess it really doesn't matter. The best rider in the Series ended up being Champ. Watch out next year for Ryan. The kid is fast.

Even Jeff Emig was aghast at the easy pass Stewart offered reed earlier in the race. reed held back for a reason, it wasn't a fast enough section of the track to REALLY take #7 out.....then later on at a faster section Bubba was allowing him by only to have reed TRY to take out his wheel and sneak into a Championship.
I suggest a much safer was to do this . reed could hire a guy to icepick poke a hole in Bubba's rear tire on the gate. Cheap tactics? not really, it goes right along with reeds dirty race style.
I just think reed embarrassed himself and the whole Suzuki camp.....
