Hey guys, I haven't been out with you guys yet, my parents live in the area, so was thinking of joining you guys this month. (My bike should be outta the shop soon)

Does any one know the what/where/when?

Well the meeting place and time is always the same

meet the last Saturday of june
7:00 am Pig&pancake in Astoria
9:00 am meet across from mcdonalds in Astoria in the parking lot
Kickstands up at 9:30

I was thinking this time of heading out 26 to Vernoina then over to Claskine
up 30 to Astoria and then Dinner at Rolling thunder BBQ
that is unless some one else has a better idea for a route

I am running out of ride ideas a llittle help would be nice come on guys where dop you want to go

I am going to miss bike night this month gang
I have to get the Softail in the dealership for its 15,000 mile oil change
hard to belive i am up to 15,000 all ready I just bought this thing in oct of 08
the only time i could get was for next saturday at 9:00 am I am hoping i can make it back in time for dinner from portland though

For what they are charging for an O/C, you can get a bike lift, and buy the Syn3 on sale, mail order your filters, and do it yerself. Should amortize pretty quick.

Usually once a year, someone around here has it for 20% off, and I get a couple of cases.

I was on the road a couple of years ago, and came due for an O/C, was an $80.00 bill at the Lexington KY HD shop. That was the last time I paid retail for that service.

I hear yuo but i got them to throughthe 3 year prepaid service plan in when i bought my bike


I made it one of the condictions to my buying the bike
after we agreed on a price and trade

this is not my first rodeo you know LOl

beside this time of year the HD delaership i go to has free dogs and music on Saturdays lol thats whay i only take it to them on saturday

I didn't even know they offered prepaid service. Sounds like you negotiated a great deal. Downtown HD up here has a bunch of stuff on sale, not charging any sales tax thru the end of June, including leftover 08's.

Ya looking at 7-25 for yer July ride?

I just found this thread. It looks like the ride is tomorrow. Since Sparky wont be going, depending on who shows up in the morning, maybe we could do the ride they did last month to Tillamook. I missed that one. I just did Vernonia and Clatskanie a couple of weeks ago. Of course, I did Tillamook too, but I was alone most of the way. It would be more enjoyable with a group. The Three Capes Scenic Route would be good with a group with a snack break in Oceanside. I'll watch this thread for the rest of the day and watch to see who might show.

Edit: We could meet anyone coming from the Portland area at the intersection of Hwy 26 and Hwy 53. Then they wouldn't have to come all the way to Astoria by 0900. We probably wouldn't be at the intersection till about 1000 or later. We could all stop and meet there.

I haven't heard from anyone who's going tomorrow. I've left messages with a few people and had a few turn downs. I don't really want to ride 10 miles up to Astoria in the morning if I'll be the only one there. I could leave from my house and head south without the extra 20 miles for nothing.

If I don't hear from someone either on this thread or by phone by tomorrow morning, I'll either ride alone or find something else to do. My cell number is on my profile under the, "about me" tab. It's going to be an excellent riding day with temps in the 70's. I hate to waste it.
