Highway 47

Be carfull up 47. My friend at work was just driving his s2000 up there when a oncoming car was halfway in his lane he swerved to miss it and ended up on the bank. The car is pretty messed up and the car didn't even stop!

Lol he had a accedent when he was a child with a drunk driver or something and got a pretty big settelment....

I was just on 47 yesterday and it was nice. It sounds like the same scenario that happened to the rider on Highway 30 a few weeks ago, only he wasn't lucky enough to get out of the way of the truck in his lane. I wonder if there was any drinking involved in the one on 47? Too bad no one could witness and catch the bastard that was in the wrong lane.

Yeah I was on my way to work and I even left early to ride up 47 but I got hot and didnt feel like going and getting all nasty before work.If I would have went up there it would have been around the same excact time my friend got in a wreck....Glad I decided not to go and got to work 1 1/2 hours early....

i know its tempting to hug the yellow line, dont do it! especially with all the nutty tourists flying around this time of year! john do you have regular days off? or do they keep ya on call? seems we never get a chance to fly togather! im takeing off at 2:00 today for a ride! whos available?

I'm available today, but I've just been doing stuff around the house. It's been pretty foggy here. I just read your post above, so you're probably out riding now.

I rode today with beachrydr, but he invited me and just two of us rode. I'm a little nervous about going with a group that's too big to keep track of. After missing Dave for several minutes and going back for him to find him wrecked, I don't want that to happen again. The fog burned off and the heat was back. I might be able to go again tomorrow. I don't know yet what the kids or wife have planned or if I'm involved.

Don't feel bad. In the 3 years I've known John we have only ridden together once or twice. Had a lot of nice bonfires and bbq's though...lol

We would have made it on a couple more rides in the last few weeks if you were here and not Florida. I hope you had a good time, but you belong here.

Yeah yeah I know, but I had to take the time to visit some family. I'm working 2 on 2 off for the rest of the month so I'm not sure how much riding I'll be doing this month except to work and back.

A lot of people would kill for a schedule like that. Find someone else working the same schedule but opposite shift. Trade shifts with them every other shift. You'll get 4 on, 4 off. That would make it better. I would do that for my 7 on, 7 off, but the company doesn't want any pilots working more than 9-10 days in a row. We get burned out.
