dont be imbarassed! we who have ridden & pushed the edge have gone down! the weekend of run 21 i was out on 202 & came around a 25er to fast & went wide & locked my rear for a sec as a harly came around the same turn way to the inside & we missed each other by inches! i dont know who he was, but i did a little prayer that night asking god to forgive me for making that guy pee his pants! & realized how crappy my suspension was & how young im not, i got tired & complacent from back to back days of rideing, that road is like the isle of man & i just love it for the challenge! tires, man & machine! i often think of the fastest indian & old bert! he whould have really loved todays bikes! but like me couldnt handle a new stock r1 or zx for more than an hour in our later years, im a beat up old racer who has broken more bones than most, but i refuse to grow up dammit! keep up the faith & never give up! & learn from all your mistakes! ride fast & ride far !!

^^^ Hey Brian, I haven't seen you on here in a while. They've been repaving parts of 202, and it's a lot better than it was a month ago. Let me know when you're ready to go try it out again.

I wish you could have rode with Ron and I yesterday. About the only fun we had was on the Miami River Rd. I tried to come up and visit you in the station, but you had already headed out to the boat for another run. We stopped in Manzanita for food and to say hi to Bret. He's taking the Ducati to Portland tomorrow to get an estimate on repairs. Hopefully he'll have it up and ready for the grand re-opening of Highway 53.

yea as it got nice out my desire to piss off work grew worse than usual. some other time though BTW- what kinda cans are on your bike? Wanted some that looked like that back when i was in the market...

Which ones did you see? I had factory exhaust on my R1 at the Bikefest, but it was painted black with race baffles installed. Before that, and in some of the pictures on this forum, I had stainless Microns. I still have them in the garage, but I'm thinking about selling them.
