Are you set on/ totally needing a truck or what? My '98 subaru can tow my bikes on a trailer, make it through every condition i can throw living in N. Oregon, never broke and stranded me and gets about 24-28 mpg depending on how i drive it. Pick up one and throw the rest of the check at your bike. just saying, LOVE THE 'ROO. |

I could build a front end like one of these on a Suburban, or just get an Armored Personnel Carrier. At least if I got hit in one of these, the damage wouldn't show. Just use a can of black primer to touch up the scratches. ![]() ![]() ![]() This is more realistic. ![]() | |

I've sold a few custom parts I stripped off the truck before they hauled it away. Now it looks like I might get the wrecked truck back as part of the deal. There are plenty of valuable parts still on it to sell, so that will make up the difference. After nearly 4 months of driving my college kids cars around, I finally got fed up with it, and financed a new vehicle for myself. Hopefully I'll get something from the insurance soon to help me start paying for this. I'm excited to get my personal stuff off of the garage floor and get it into the new rig. Here are a few pics; ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I'm getting about 16 mpg so far mostly over Hwy 30 with lots of up and down on the hills and passing people at 55-65. I think it will do much better on freeways. It has the system that shuts down 4 cylinders when you're coasting or going downhill. I think it will get better mileage than my truck did. |

I'll be advertising parts from it on Craigslist when I get it. The passenger side doors, tailgate and right front fender all look undamaged. There are other parts that might be good too, so if anyone is looking for something, let me know. |

We bought a very rugged, slightly lifted Jeep Wrangler for her. She's liked them for years, so now that I'm driving the "family car", she doesn't need the van. |

I will not carry a policy from Farmers Insurance. And the above is not the only reason. Nice new ride, check these out: http://www.reunel.com/chevyextremedu...er/Chevy3.html or http://www.setina.com/bump_PB450lveh.php |

I'll bet you could ram anything smaller than an 18 wheeler out of your way with one of those. I only settled with the insurance on my truck because I worked out a deal to get my wrecked truck back. Now my dad is dismantling it and we're listing a bunch of the good parts on Craigslist. I've already sold about $600 worth, and have a lot left to sell. That will help make up the difference on my truck value. They were a bunch of bandits on the value of the truck and shorted me about $1700 from what I figured it was worth, but I think I will get more than that when I'm done parting it out. I'm hoping when we attempt to settle on my injuries that they will be more reasonable. Hopefully I'll get enough to help me pay for that Suburban. I don't expect to see that for a year or so. |
