Shorty called me this morning telling me Vera had been life flighted to emanual, they had been on a low speed training ride around back streets, they rounded corner he looked back & she wasn't there, made the turn around none of us never want to make to find the ones we care about especially your wife! Shorty found Vera in a bad way, vera is an induced coma & not responsive, please send out your prayers for Shorty & Vera!!

My heart is with your wife & family, I just got back from having a good cry with Shorty, at that time the Dr. Had prepared him for the worst, we prayed for peace & comfort for Vera, I couldn't go to work today, I'm quite shaken by this happening so close to me, Vera was so happy & totally glowing like crazy earlier that day when I stopped she was working up a sweat polishing her wheels!! My greatest wish in life is to pass the bike bug to others! & she had the bug! After I got home Shorty called & said they have her stableized which is a good sign, they didn't expect that to be possable earlier!! God bless!! & give your wife a big hug for me!!

This is never a good thing to hear about. I am really hoping that this has a good ending. Motorcyclists banding together are a powerful force. They will be in my thoughts.

We just got back from Portland. Vera is in a bad way. She will need all the prayer and support that can be mustered. Also, anyone who knows Shorty, he needs our support as well. Vera is his life and this is very difficult for him as well.

Spoke to Shorty yesterday & Vera is now responding to him with eye blinks ect! She's back!! Her facial reconstruction surgery's went very well, now Shorty is preparing himself for the many trips to Portland with limited resources during her very long recovery! He needs all the help he can get! Thank you for your prayers ya'll!
