I was takin the sweet turn @ mile marker 5 on reece hill rd. and i cut from the outside of the lane to the inside and on my way back to the outside part of the lane the back tire slipped out on sand. i got the wobbles for half a second. tried to save it. but before i knew it i was draggin knee on a striaght, headding for trees. i was sliding on my leathers, wheels of the bike first. then i realized i was down, and there was nothign i could do about it. i let go of the bike, then the tires caught traction. thats when all the damage happend. the bike ripped out from between my legs and started cart wheeling as i was sliding about one or two feet away from it. i roled over once in my entire slide. and my body never left my lane. after the bike did a few flips it ended up jammed into 3 trees. i got up took off my helmet and was like "wtf just happend?"

does that some it up?

wear gear guys! i was wearing full leathers. it saved me alot of pain. the next few days my muscles were achy and sore. but nothing major

I picked up a K6 1000 that was a theft recov. in the process of rebuilding it - then im going to sell it and pick up either an RC51 or a 06/05 1000RR in the same color scheme as my old titanium 954

if i can find an ape for a decent price id pick it up in a heart beat after riding yours - kind of want to save some cash so i can pick up track plastics for which ever bike i end up keeping and a DRZ SM or husky 610SM in the summer when i get back from Alaska

Ninja- still riding it, decided not to sell it yet (can't afford a replacement yet).

Newest acquisition- 1975 Kawi KZ400. Bought it back at the beginning of Dec. Not currently running and soon to be cafe project.(crap pic that I took the night I brought it home)

Do you have something against mirrors? lol, if I remember your 954 didn't have them either. I think it looks slicker w/o them, but I do like being about to look around.

btw, I think you should lose the red 1000 stickers on the tail. doesn't flow with the bike.

I think im going to make my own risers in my CNC class then use the water jet to machine some heal gaurds and have the rest of the hardware powder coated. No need to pay $100s if i can make em myself

i love the black and silver it reminds me of the 07 750

r u gonna get some mirrors for it? or what r u gonna do about front tursignals

i like it better with no mirrors but the turnsignals pose a problem

either way it looks good

i ended up finding some pics of my other bike
figured nobody hates looking at more bikes
i ride it pretty much every day its not raining so youll probably see me around bham

its easy to spot with the butt ugly windscreen the guy before me had on it

i was planning on gettin some block off plates, never been a fan of mirrors

as far as the turn signals, they have been relocted to the headlight assembly, so it shouldnt be a problem

thanks for the compliments guys, should be done soon, that is if i can find the right tank grips!

this is the only other picture i go off... i had to head back to bham and it was either take the chevelle for one last spin or take pics of the bike in my driveway (dead battery+no gas in the lines = compression starting in the driveway didn't happen
