| Training Wheels Joined: Jul 2007 From: Bellingham I Ride: 2001 SV650s | Hey everyone, I'll contribute my humble beginning as a rider since I'm up here in Bellingham. I picked it up about a month ago. 1989 Suzuki GS500e. Took the course two months ago, had never been on a motorcycle before that. Haven't taken any long trips on it yet, just down Chuckanut a few times and around town. It's awesome to see so many riders up here in Bham, hope to meet some of you and join up for a ride sometime before the weather starts turning foul. Thought about going on the relaxed Baker ride this past sunday, but stuff came up. Also, I go to WWU so I'm sure I'll see some of your rides around there. It's too damn nice out to be sitting here, im gettin out there! Ty Last edited by sector9guy; 08-29-2007 at 01:37 PM.. |

| MotoGP Contender Joined: Jul 2006 From: bellingham, wa I Ride: water buffalo | power wise the 636 has more. the sixth gear is really strong and useable on passing cars no need for down shifting. a bit more comfortable since the r6 has a more aggressive stance. braking is good too. it came with batlax tires, 120/65 on the front and 180/55 not my cup of tea. right away i had em changed to 2cts but the front changed to 120/70 this time, boy this tires grip i love em, lots of feel and very predictable. cleaned em up right away. i do need to change the rearsets since my legs are shorter and when i hang on one side it almost feel like im reachin for the otherside's peg, my foot even slipped out of position when i leaned too far and my foot came off the peg, i thought the pegs were just slipper but i gues i was on the smooth ungrooved part of the peg. the engine vibrates a lil bit more the r6, but its something normal about the 636s i read that from sportrider mag, i do feel it on the clip ons. so far that's what i have noticed, there will be more im sure. i love it.
