The route will be Chuckanut Dr., backroads on Whidbey Island, gas up in Oak Harbor, then catching a ferry at noon. I'm thinking having a lunch at a food coop in Port Townsend, but if you have any better ideas, let me know! Then we'll continue US101 south, then take backroads on Kitsap Peninsula. Then go back to Port Townsend, do another backroads on Whidbey Island, then home. Pace will be moderate on backroads, at speed limit on major hwys. |

This is all that will affect us, and I doubt they'll be working at all tomorrow. Been through there lately and its just a minor slow down/reduced speed limit

Sorry if you waited for me Maverick; I gave it a hell of a shot to try and head you off at the swinomish casino by the bridges there; but I waited long enough to assure myself you had already gone by. But on the bright side I did meet up with some B'hammers for a ride all over whatcom/skagit/and snohomish county for about 200 miles or so! Hope you had a good ride today! |

The heat wasn't too bad when I got there, but after I finish lunch in Twisp, it was at least 90F. It was so hot, I didn't dare to explore backroads in that area. Traffic was brutal, mainly due to people REFUSING using turn outs. I really hope cops start giving tickets. On way back, I hooked up with a rider from Vancouver, we ended up doing a lot of agressive passings, then took some nice backroads along Skagit Valley. Now N. Cascades is added to my NO list for summer weekends.
