I know the go kart track up in Ferndale was being built a while ago, and there was lots of talk of having a sumo track day there.

Did this ever happen?

I finally have a sumo AND leathers, and NEED to get to the track. But when/if I do, I'll be riding to the track, and riding home. I'd love to not pay $200 to ride the DRZ to Seattle and back.

If it did, when is it happening again? If it didn't, is it still out of the question or can we try again?

I wanna go make a fool of myself dammit!

Ferdale ???? Not that I know of, I know they built one in Sumas...very nice track but I just stopped by there about a month ago. NO SUMOS Karts only

I really need to get to a track also, about ready to stop riding on the street. Anybody know of a vacant warehouse, car lot etc that we could rent or use.

Agreed. I was giving serious consideration to adding a sumo to the stable pending that happening.

edit: I remember it was supermotovideo that was in contact with them, I'm assuming it was a negative outcome since it hasn't happened.

Only thing local is with BC supermoto, I stopped posting the events up on here since no one ever shows up. They have a jump and sweet dirt section.

Also I have went up to F440 a few times this year, its a tight cart track no dirt.

I just have a enhanced driver's license, I think it cost $15 and lets me drive to canaduh.

Do they have any mid-week? With my work schedule I have a hard time making weekends.
And if the BC supermoto guys could make a event at the Sumas track happen it would really bring in some riders.

Once you apply they give you a temp paper lic. until you get the perm one in the mail. You can cross the border with that.

You can drop in anytime at the F440 just call to double check. F440 is only open until september then they will be closed for good, they are building a wal mart where the track is now.

everyone has tried to make a event happen in sumas they just dont seem to have any interest in it.

Did your bike blow up or did you find it was something else?

Negative Just a clutch cover gasket!!! They had one in town and I changed it yesterday. Filled it up with oil and took a short test ride today.

I am up and running, really want to hit the track, wife not to happy about me riding much on the road. Might need to buy another chain and go change my rear spocket back to 51 tooth for the track. 45 I put one is good for longer road rides but losses a little pull for a small track and proberly never use 6th.

Have to hit one of these up soon, need to decide if I want to sell my street bike and just go track only, if so i'm about tired of paying 200 bucks for track days plus the worry of big money crashes. The 45-50 mph slid on my SM cost me...........$14 bucks for gasket and 2 qt oil.....OK, OK I do need new peg and bar sliders....got ground down a little harsh.

So i e-mailed SIMA and they replied with this

"Hi Steve,



Insurance has been the biggest issue. We are hoping to have it resolved in the near future."

I have e-mailed them 4-5 times over the last 2 years and this is the same reply i get. So its pretty doubtful they will get it resolved in the near future
