New Ninja 300 !

WOW, just saw the new Ninja 250 replacement, the fuel injected 2013 Ninja 300. Very impressed, still not a super bike, but big improvement. The new body work is sick, it's got a rubber mounted motor, major power up grades, and did I say fuel injection? I know there are at least a few Ninja 250 fans here, so I'm sure they will appreciate this video Bill made comparing the two on and our Dyno results. Maybe the next perfect commuter?

That is pretty steep. That's one of the reasons they've kept EFI off it for so long.

But new 600s are like 12k so...

I wonder how Honda will answer this, CBR230? Anyway, wow this is awesome and I had no idea this was in the works. This would make an awesome beginner track bike.

Problem with that is that the Ninja 250 is already a great beginning track bike, and there's already a class for them in lots of regional racing. The 300 will wind up going in it's own category, or having to compete with bigger bikes. I doubt WMRRA or OMRRA will allow them in either the LWSM, or Ninja Cup classes around here. I wish they would have kept the displacement, and just added the EFI, but that might not matter.

That's a well done video. Sure it may not be professional, but it is decent enough and tells pertinent information in a concise, interesting fashion.

I still want a Honda NSR 250...

That was pretty informative. I've wanted a sport 250 for trackays and farting around on the street for a while now but holy cow, that 300 sounds sweeeeeeeeet!

Allow large riders to race it against 250s. Smaller riders will have to add ballast. That would allow bigger racers a shot on racing small inexpensive bikes.

This could be cool. Being 270lb makes me uncompetitive on a 250, but it'd still be a blast to ride!

FYI, this isn't replacing the Ninja 250, you can still buy the 250. This is just another option.

I could be wrong, but I have it on fairly good authority, the 2013 Ninja 300 is officially the 2012 Ninja 250 replacement, as in there will not be a 2013 Ninja 250 shipping from Kawasaki Japan to our shores. Just sayin...
