I'm all for racking up poser points, I ride a 750 now, so its totally obvious I'm compensating for something.

Has anybody called ahead? I know they appreciate the business but asked that I call ahead once when we had a bunch of VW's there one time.

And now that my g'friend is out of town I'll make it to my first bike night finally.

Being it is raining, any plans for an indoor bike night event somewhere tonight?

I still plan on showing. We've all sat indoors before and didn't have any issues with having enough room. I plan on riding there, also...just probably not going on a ride afterwards if the wx remains $hitty.

I don't ride in the rain unless I absolutely have to.... but will cage it there to hang with you guys/gals... I know it puts a damper on a "bike nite"... but I don't trust cagers as it is.. especially with wet roads and less visibility with the rain....

for those that do ride... especially the newbies... be careful, avoid the painted lines/stripes in the intersections.... SLIPPERY WHEN WET!

See ya'll later...

I dont think my training wheels will hold me up in the rain yet

Lol, best training I ever got for riding when wet was racing road bicycles. Think about going the same speed as you would around town (up to about 40mph...50 downhill....65-70 if its Alabama) on thinner tires and a higher center of gravity. Sound like fun in the rain don't it?

It wasn't bad last night. Jon, some other guy on a gold 675, and I went for a ride after Boomers and had a good run.

its better to ride in a good amount of rain than little, it's more slippery,
when it rains alot it washes out the road grime, when its only a lil bit it just wets the grime and makes it slippery.

when it rains alot wait about 15 to 30 minutes to let the shit wash out to the side, keep to the heigher parts of the road. close to the middle since gravity will take the water to the lower parts of the road, thats how gravity works hehe

^I agree with that. Who would do something like that? I heard of this guy that did that on HWY2. I think it was all a myth. Can we get mythbusters to prove this theory?

I like a good boozing, and i enjoy a good stripper, but seeing as how the weather has sucked balls the last week... there isnt a good reason not to hop on the 2 wheels of glory the next chance I get. probably wont make it to bike night due to work but hopefully Gixxerjeff spots me squiding again tomorrow either to or from work, cuz that means I get to be riding. been over 10 days since I basked in the glory of my sportbike. WAAAAYY TOOOO LOOONG.
