Going home 5-30-09 any one wanna ride?
Hey guys, Im coming from Portland on the 30th with a budy of mine (who is new to the sportbike world) and I was wondering if anyone was planning a ride on that day? The route I was thinking was Redmond-bend redmnd hiwy to the mountain then the back way to sunriver, forgot the name of the road that runs parallel to hwy 97 by after 97 exit to sunriver. But follow that up to Paulina peek. Unless you guys got any other ideas? I kinda wanted to start in Redmond to get Matt and Vince to tag along.

Ok, im a little confused by your question. I dont know if it is the spelling or huge paragraphs, but here it goes.

Is it the Old-Bend Redmond Hwy you are talking about that is the back way to Bend? Or are you talking about Hwy 97 that takes you from Redmond to Bend???? Neither of these roads will take you to the mountain.

97 to Sunriver Junction and that road is called South Century Drive. You can take that road all the way to Cascade Lakes Hwy. The road that parallel's Hwy 97, to the west is Cascade Lakes Hwy (hwy 372) or it is also called Century Drive. This is the road that takes you to Mount Bashelor. They just cleared the snow. But remember that there is still 4'-5' of snow on the side of the road and some of it is wet from snow melting.

Hope this helps.

Paulina peek is called Paulin Lake Rd. It runs up to Paulina Lake for about 18-20 miles and is one of my favortie roads in Central Oregon. Here is a good video. BTW for some reason youtube removed the song I edited it with, so no music.

Yeah I was at work and I was trying to be as fast as I could, so sorry about that. But the start would be the old bend redmond highway and come out on Hwy 20 then take that to Hwy 97 but go through bend on Nw Mount Washington DR. to 372 (the way to Bachelor) or Century DR. Cascade lakes hwy. Then there is a turn off, off of there that leads the backway to Sunriver into which you would take a right S. century dr. following that which turns into Huntington (this is the road that I said runs next to HWY 97.) Then when you get into Lapine off of Huntington take Paulina Lake rd up.
So since there is snow up by bachelor, any other routes would be good. That route was just off the top of my head, so all in all I was just wondering if anyone is riding next weekend and what routes they are running?

Serious!!! No one from the Bend area is going for a ride? Well I guess this will be last call for it. I leave Portland tomorrow around 7-8. I might be kinda beat by the time I get there, so I may be open for a Sunday ride as well, 5-31-09?
