its taking forever to get this bike put together in a way that somewhat resembles done. its been a year since i wrecked and i just recently swapped the gsxr front in for the wrecked sv parts. turns out one of the fork uppers is slightly tweaked, but i rode it that way for the last year, handled good enough for me. i've got the dual triumph-wanna-be headlights on there as well. but i'm lacking gauges, so no speedo, or trip (never know when to get gas).

i think i'm a combination...

getting closer to having all the parts for the swap. i decided since something in the front was tweakeed in the front after the wreck, it would be a good time to get a gsxr front suspension swapped onto the sv. i've been collecting parts, doing a lot of carefull ebaying, trying to get smoking deals on the parts needed. it takes a ton of effort and time, but its the right time of the year to buy bike parts. so all i have left to buy (besides hardware) is a gsxr front wheel and rotors. this will...

so its been a couple weeks since the wreck. i'm mostly healed, can't believe my leg still hurts. maybe i shouldn't be able to believe that its still not broken, or something serious. i haven't done a thing to the bike. the wife always assumed i was gonna keep it and fix it, so thats nice. my mom has been more of a pain in the ass though. right now it needs a rear tire more than anything else, it needed that before i left for sbnw, starting to see steel belts.

as i look back...

of course that means i wadded my scoot. friday afternoon at sbnw, between glenwood and trout lake i put it in the ditch. i'm ok, except for the bruised ego, and growing bruise on my thigh. amazing considering i was going 70+ before i got on the brakes trying to slow down for a turn i wasn't quite ready for. i'm sure to be shamed for admitting to riding that hard on the street, but i can't...

i've been really looking forward to sbnw this year. i've never been before. anything with sport bikers tends to be a super-squid fest, i've got no interest in that. sbnw doesn't seem to be that. i've never even been on a group ride, i don't know that i'd like it. i like to ride at my own pace, speed up when i want to, slow down when i want to. i just don't think a group ride would be enjoyable. thats why i've been going back and forth about going with other riders to sbnw.
