Something to Do on a Rainy Day:

Ashtray Installation on a SUZUKI SV1000S


I was sitting around bored today still reeling from the double enchilada and taco plate @ the restaurant last night thinking to myself, "What can I do on this rainy day without getting too wet...?" then the answer came to me from the midst of my hazy, smoky reverie: Install an ashtray on my Suzuki SV1000S!! So that's what I did.

Here goes:

1. The required parts:



2. Mounting location on the left clip-on next to clutch perch:



3. Clearance made for mount next to clutch perch:



4. Mount and mounting hardware:



5. Mount installed next to clutch perch: (Note-- the nuts are not tightened perfectly even but it's close enough for me)

    love the idea, as I love to smoke, however you may have issues with wind and ashes and such. awesome tho, may i suggest a giant ass windshield

    OMG...I lmao...then, I thought, I have GOT to get one of those! The irony...I'm sitting outside in the rain having a cigarette, as I read this. (well, partial cover) LOL
    I'm the only one who smokes in my riding circle....that would be the shit!
