Questioning a mod (will this disappear too?)

Thanks Mic for providing an example of why I find this site virtually intolerable now. If unintentionally.
The intent was to have a joke with the mods, assuming them to have a sense of humor about a corner case like this. It was originally a lame joke that, IMO, became a little funnier as people contributed to it.
I'm sorry if you feel that that makes you feel your "authority" has been challenged or you've been "provoked". If so:
But if you're evaluating every post (especially in Off Topic) based on whether it supports your authority or undermines it, well...
The infraction was cool (and yeah I was joking about getting it, so deserved it), it was the apparent deletion of the thread that put me off because I thought it was at least slightly intellectually funny to have the thread mutating around some narrow topic definitions. Others apparently did too. But we can't decide that anymore with the post gone, can we?
And I find your prickliness about the rules being sacrosanct to make being here a lot less fun. And I question whether that was the intent in creating those rules...is the forum about The Rules or the conversation? Was it funny when George Carlin joked about the 7 rules you can't say on the air or was he (tut-tut) undermining authority?
Apologies for wasting anyone's time. Im putting a copy of this post in my BLOG in case this one disappears as well.

The original intentions of the thread had nothing to do with puppies. The OP clearly stated he was doing it to provoke the mods. The whole post was nothing but for the most part, a bunch of posts from OT, Hot Topic, and NWS discussion in order to ire the mods.
The thread was moved to another location for review by the admins of the site. At this time, the admins have not moved it back into any section.
Since the original intention of the post was to provoke the mods and admins,

and he specifically stated he was waiting for his infraction, I made sure as to not disappoint him. He openly said he was waiting for an infraction, and so he received it. I have no problems assisting people if I feel their intentions are justified in the requests they make.
Now the OP is actually outraged that he received an infraction (after originally asking for it).
It's even hard to please people when you do exactly what they ask.
