While some claim the first recorded association of Valentine's Day with romantic love is in Parlement of Foules (1382) by Geoffrey Chaucer[17] this may be the result of misinterpretation. Chaucer wrote:

My problem w/ the "holiday" is it's use and involvment w/ pagan stuff. Raised my kids w/ NO satan claus, valentines, halloweener day... there OK still.
