Alright, so I'm a single parent in my 30's. I've been seeing someone in their twenties for a while. When we first hooked up, I specifically made it clear that my kids will always come first. She, being a mother of her own, understood the only term I had. She doesn't have custody at this time. I just don't understand how someone could be pissed and say that I cannot be there for her when she needs me. What the fuck! If I have my sons, how and why the hell would I leave them to comfort her when she's feeling depressed? Is it wrong of me? If you think so then you're ass need a head check!
Why will you tell me it's over countless of times and then bitch cause I didn't call or didn't text? Uh cause you didn't want me to! You said it was over! I love it how I tell you about my hobbies and why I love it. Then you get pissed because I'm riding all day. You say I may love you even more if you had a bike. Yeah sure. How about a new personality or a sense of...well...let's see...ahhh...maturity??? Just needed to rant a bit. It just don't make sense. I just have to
. My sons will always come first.
Thanks... feels better

Yup.. Dating as a single parent is a WHOLE 'NOTHER experience! I don't know if it'll ever be normal... I've yet to experience it as normal.
I've also discovered, that while I'm in my 30's - dating people younger doesn't seem to work well. I don't know if it's the same for all people but I can only speak from my experiences.
Good luck - and it sounds to me like you need to break away from this drama girl. Focus your energy on your boys first then yourself second (and your hobby!!)Posted 05-26-2008 at 11:07 PM by WashingtonBlonde
