More Food for Thought

Those of you that are preparing to knock the dust off that motorcycle that's been calmly stowed in the garage or in storage might benefit from this small piece of advice:

-Don't stow your motorcycle over the winter, unless it's absolutely unreasonable that you would be able to take it out for a spin over the winter.

-If you own a battery tender, throw it away. Ride your motorcycle. Don't "tend" to it.

-Don't skip out on a ride if it is sprinkling...

The Extremism of Safety

We ride motorcycles (or pretend to). Most of us have crashed a motorcycle at one time or another. Some of us have not. So we generally understand that our sport is a dangerous one. Especially dangerous. Agreed?

Fine.

Why do we have to dilute ourselves in a blanket of safety-bolstering techno-babble? I could spend a half-hour citing all the recent threads regarding crashes, safety tips, "how-we-ride" rules, et cetera, but I think you all know the drift. It's...
