After a long work week, I knew I wanted to get out and ride a bit with the missus. It's been awhile since the two of us went on a cruise together, and seeing as how the weather on Sunday was awesome, I wanted to go. As a matter of fact, I really didn't give her the option. I announced in my most commanding voice that we were going on a ride. She could have overruled me, of course, but I was hoping she wouldn't call my bluff.

Every other Friday has me running the store. I have to show up at about 7:15 to open and I won't put the key in the door again till after 6:15 that night. Needless to say, it makes for a long day. Imagine my surprise then when I pulled into the parking lot this last Friday to see one of my parts drivers, Ken, parked in front of the door waiting for me. This last week has seen several days where the cars have been frosted over in the morning but the roads still ridable. I suspect that my riding days may be numbered, though. At least this week looks good.

While riding home the other night I found myself following an older Chevy pickup truck. Probably mid-'70s vintage I'm thinking. I first approached the truck while it was facing northbound in line at a stop light at Highway 9 and Soper Hill Road. I actually wasn't directly behind it but one car back. I had originally planned to take today, Thursday, off as a vacation day. Then I remembered that a rep from Standard Motor Products was coming by the store to set a computer that we'll use to flash PCM's for newer cars. So, I decided to take yesterday off instead.
