Things have been pretty static lately. I ride in to work, do my time, then ride home. Not really much that's blog-worthy in that routine. Oh, I could write about it, but you probably have paint to watch dry or grass to watch grow. In other words, you've got better things to do then to read about the mundane. And, frankly, I've got better things to do then write about it. Hell, I lived it once. Why rehash it again?

The weatherman said it was suppose to be overcast with a slight chance of showers on Saturday. Boy, he sure missed the mark on that one! It was an awesome day. I decided to take advantage of the nice weather and do some much needed maintenance on both my and my wife's bikes.

Mine had come due for an oil change on Tuesday, but there was just no way I was going to get it done before or after work. And my wife's bike... that's been overdue for quite some time. Almost embarrassing really....

This time of year finds me alone on the roadways most days as I make my trek back and forth to work. Oh, I'm not the only vehicle on the road, but the inclement weather and shorter daylight times--I'm sure--keeps people from commuting on their bikes. So, when I do see another rider, it makes me smile to know I'm not the only fool getting soaked.

Most of my ride in to work yesterday was uneventfully. I did have a tractor-trailer pull out in front of me at 84th and Highway...

Daylight Saving Time ends today... just in case you're wondering. This means you need to turn your clocks back an hour. This also means it will be getting darker an hour earlier than usual. Last Thursday, as I was climbing on my bike to ride home after work, I became keenly aware of how dark it was getting at 6:15 in the evening. Now, this coming Monday, it'll probably be pretty dark as it will be 7:15 as compared to the prior week. Sure, the clock will say 6:15, but the sun's position will say...
