The Path Less Traveled
Welcome to my blog! I'm committing this space to my adventures with motorcycles and activities related with them. This will include all sorts of stories about repairing them, going on trips, learning different riding techniques, meeting other riders, etc. In other words, a general dumping ground for whatever strikes me. Hope you enjoy the read.
Gone Again
Yep. Making another trip south of the border. No, not Mexico. Oregon. My wife and I are headed out sometime after breakfast in the morning. We're headed for Portland and will be there until Tuesday.
I've got a rough route planned that will take us down 203 to I-90, then over to Hwy 18 , then around the backside of Ranier and on down south toward Longview, but over on the west side of I-5. Once there, we'll hop the river and catch 30 into Portland.
Monday I have a business meeting, but afterward Brady and a few other local PDX riders are going to show my wife and I around the riding roads. Then we'll all grab some grub and spin some stories, I'm sure. Not really sure where we're eating yet, but I'm not really worried about it.
Tuesday, we'll get some breakfast at Voodoo Donuts. I hear they are AWESOME. After we get our fill, it's off to Astoria, then up 101 to Aberdeen. With some luck, we'll catch up with our old neighbor for lunch, then continue on up 101 to either Kingston or Port Townsend to catch the ferry back. I haven't quite decided which, yet.
It should be a fun trip and I'm looking forward to meeting the Portland crew. Unfortunately, I'll be incommunicado 'til I get back so you'll have to wait for updates. Yeah, I need to fix that little glitch. Perhaps a blackberry or something. Hmmm...
That's about it. Enjoy the weather. The next couple days look to be great for riding!
