I've not ridden my motorcycle to work in over a week now. It's been pretty tough, but I'm coping. With the cold weather, I've needed gloves so I decided to wear my summer riding pair. This helps a little.

My customers, thinking they're being cute, ask where my motorcycle's at since it's not in my snow covered parking lot. I've taken to telling them that I had to park it because the local tire store couldn't get me the studded snow tires I wanted for it. That usually makes 'em think...

I knew this day was coming. The days were growing shorter and the temps were falling gradually, too. But, as with most big changes, you're never quite prepared for it no matter what you do. It's time to park the bike for awhile. I'm sad about that.

Things have been pretty static lately. I ride in to work, do my time, then ride home. Not really much that's blog-worthy in that routine. The weatherman said it was suppose to be overcast with a slight chance of showers on Saturday. Boy, he sure missed the mark on that one! It was an awesome day. I decided to take advantage of the nice weather and do some much needed maintenance on both my and my wife's bikes.

Mine had come due for an oil change on Tuesday, but there was just no way I was going to get it done before or after work. And my wife's bike... that's been overdue for quite some time. Almost embarrassing really....

This time of year finds me alone on the roadways most days as I make my trek back and forth to work. Oh, I'm not the only vehicle on the road, but the inclement weather and shorter daylight times--I'm sure--keeps people from commuting on their bikes. So, when I do see another rider, it makes me smile to know I'm not the only fool getting soaked.
