Thought I'd start a little blog about my summer up here.
We arrived last Sat. to our fish camp. Discovered we had a 33 hr opener the next day. My brother in law and myself scrambled to get two more of our 5 sets set out out. The 33hr opener was a pretty good one for us. We ended up with 4500 pounds in 33 hrs. There was an announcement the next day that we'd have a three day opener. So far during this opener we've caught 5800lbs of Red Salmon and have just heard there is a 48 extension to this opener. Prices are up to 1.35 per pound so it's already looking like a decent beggining to our season.
It's bitterly cold here on the south end of Kodiak for this time of year. Lots of bears moving through our area lately as well. I've not been out fishing yet that I have not seen at least one bear.
My hands are already getting a bit arthritic so I have to end this one for now. I'll try to get some pictures up in the next couple of days or so. Going on very little sleep this week.

My avatar pic shows aggresive riding! Your WEAK! Bad passes?? are you high? Dude wake up! A pass is a pass. If it puts you in a better position to get points, DO IT! Rubbing is racing..How come your so quick to bash Rossi? Did you even watch the race last weekend? Toseland and Lorenzo actually made contact and were riding out of control for a while there in the begining. Just hate on Rossi because hes a bad ass haha you people crack me up

I agree that rubbins racin but when Rossi got rubbed by Elias he whined like a little bitch. But when he pulled that same maneuver on Gibernau it was "legit". I hate the hypocrisy.Posted 03-14-2008 at 04:08 PM by OOk -
In racing sometimes things happen you commit and the other guy does some little thing different he hasnt done the last 6 laps and you rub or go down. It all perspective my seccond to last crash the other guy blew the turn in by 40 ft then at the last dying dog moment turned and we were on a colision course, there was my perspective , his ,the turn workers and the chief stewards all were different, shoulda, woulda, coulda.
