How you are remembered?

Posted 11-13-2008 at 11:17 AM by mikefsu

Just watched thr memorial video again for Yamar1. It made me really ponder how I would be remembered if at all. Was just wondering if anyone else has ever thought that?

    The Egyptians believed that they would live as long as people remembered their names. I think we all ponder how we'll be remembered and what we'll be remembered for.

    I could list a few of the ways people have told me they would remember me, (and things they would do on or over my grave) but decorum prevents me from repeating them here. I will say that regardless of the sentiments good or bad, I personally remember mostly good things about my ever growing list of deceased relatives; so, I think it's natural to remember the good things about a person after they have passed on. I hope I have made a favorable impression on those I leave behind so they have something good to remember me by after I am gone.

    Lost a lot of people in my life.
    Think of it too often.
    Aint worried about it though.
    Helped quite a few folks with their path in life.
    Hopefully more than I've hurt.
    Got 3 kids, 6 grandkids and counting.
    Hopefully I can do half the job my wife did.

    My wifes epitaph ;
    "Thanks for the Love"
    It was from my kids.
    Think I'll go visit with her today.
