Track day #2: Thunderhill (april 5th/6th)

Kind of a late blog entry, I know. Anyway, Thunderhill was great, I think it was probably the best track day weekend of my life. No kidding. It was my second time at T-hill but damn if i didnt feel like I was flying. Ya, ya, I know, Im no racer and there are people plenty faster than me, but damnit I was feeling unstoppable, which turned out to be ironic.
I got some great video and had some great times with friends. Unfortunately 10 minutes, yes TEN MINUTES, away from packing up on the second day, my over confidence combined with a bit of mental fatigue resulted in a bit of a high speed tumble. Final tally was: extremely broken arm, broken foot, cracked ribs and a bit of a shattered ego.
Out of all my injuries what hurts the most right now is not being able to ride. gah, cant wait to get back out there.

- ^^^ Hardly at all. left side engine cover and frame slider and swing arm spool need replacing. and theres a fairly insignificant crack on the lower fairing. Pretty amazing actually since the bike went down between 90-100mph.Posted 05-11-2008 at 05:18 PM by OOk
