Awesome day

Left my house a bit after 10 to slab down to meet up with Jimd2p. Destination was Johnston Ridge Observatory. He led us from Olympia to 504 on backroads, we barely even saw I-5 let alone touched it on the way there. It was great. Very warm and very few cagers to deal with. Stopped and had a good lunch and then made our way to and up 504. Road is great. Still lots of snow so there is runoff crossing the road in a lot of places, but there are still plenty of good sections of road to get busy...

Shopping doesn't suck sometimes

Woot for me today. Went to Cycle Gear in Auburn to buy my son a pair of riding pants and a jersey. We picked out a set that he liked, thought it was done and done. Wandered around the store a little more and found a bunch of Fox pants and jerseys for half the price of what we had picked out. Added bonus was he actually liked the Fox stuff better.

And then I scored a pair of leather pants for $119.00.
These in fact: http://www.cyclegear.com/spgm.cfm?L1...-30_G&tier2=47...

I knew this would happen

I got a shiny new toy and after a couple days of playing with it, I forgot all about it (blogging).

Things are....OK. Skate night was a blast, finally glad to get to something with my wife along. Tank for the Z1000 is in Jim's capable hands getting a fresh coat of paint. I'm waiting on my damn EXO1000 to arrive at RMC, and I need to fix my lights on the fender eliminator but after that I'm good to go.

Great news this morning in that it looks like my wife...

Good riddance

All in all I'm glad to see this year go. I had some accomplishments that I'm happy about, but when I look back over the year I see more blah than I like. It just felt pretty flat all year long. Part of that comes from work, part of that is my wife spent a lot of time on the mend from a couple different surgeries and also losing her great grandmother. My own grandmother moved in with my parents and has been through a lot. They are struggling with taking care of her needs and I've been unable...

What a chore...bleh

Don't know about anyone else but my wife and I are done with the holidays. Over. Fin.
Which means we're going to have to take down the tree and put everything away today. I'm just getting some coffee in before going to get cleaned up and starting. At least this way we'll be able to just relax for New Year's and not have to deal with anything. I'll have the rest of the holiday time off I have to tinker with the bike.

I'm pretty right now about that, too....

Another holiday here and gone

Almost, anyway. Christmas is here and there is only a couple hours left right now. My wife knocked the ball out of the park this year for myself and our son. She really made it special for us, and as usual put her boys ahead of herself. I've said it before, she's the best person I know and more than I deserve. And it's not just the material things I'm talking about or the cost. It's the thought and effort she put into making us happy. I hit back though because I got her something that touched...

12/24

Posted 12-24-2007 at 08:47 AM by pjd
Is finally here. Growing up this was always my favorite day of the year. As great as Christmas morning is, the anticipation is nearly as fun. These days it's sort of like a finish line. All the gifts are bought and wrapped, all the baking is done and the house is clean. We're going to dinner tonight at a friends house and then tomorrow it will be just us for the day.

Merry Christmas! I hope it's a good day for you and yours.

A blog is a good place to post the fact that it's nearly noon and I'm still sitting around in sweats. I should go get cleaned up but I'm a little hung over.

Ooooh and then later on I can blog about what I'm going to have for dinner. That'll keep you on the edge of your seat, won't it?
