Kind of been blogging about my ride experiences and thought I'd try it on this forum. So welcome to my 1st official PNWR blog. Enjoy!

Thanks to Destination Highways (no this is not an ad for them but they are highly recommended), I’ve had the pleasure of exploring a lot of back roads throughout Western Washington and several in Eastern WA. I have several local favorites, but I yearn to find new roads (well roads new to me) for that since of discovery, the thrill of the unexpected,...

mostly cleaning and clearing dirt from the frame; checked the tension of the drive chain / rear tire alignment.

things on my to do list: ( not alot but being out of work gives plenty of time and little cash)

bleed the front brake - tire not turning, will tear down if need to free the caliper

change Oil - looks like grey sludge on the dipstick....

Adventures of a Biker Chic||It's been a while!

Well... It's no longer Adventures of a Harley Chic Rider...

We traded my V-Rod in last year, 2011, for what you see in my pic to the left: Yamaha FZ6-R. I LOVE it! His name is SPARTACUS I think I'll change my post titles to: Adventures of a Biker Chic!

I haven't really ridden a whole lot in the past 2.5 yrs. I wrecked my V-Rod in August 2010. Not too much damage on the bike... On me however, was a total different monster. I tore up my left knee and shoulder. I didn't...

Shims and horns

Posted 04-13-2012 at 11:59 AM by sschering

I finally got the 79 GS1000 ready to ride for the season.. Well almost..

I finally checked and re-shimmed the valves..
It needed it in a bad way.. all but two valves were less than .0015".. Now they are all between .0025 and .0040 and it starts runs much better..
It still needs the carbs synced and I have to put new seals in the leaky tach drive..

While I was messing with it I replaced one of the sad factory horns with one I salvaged from an...

Those of you who know me know that I am an attorney.

I will follow this with a blog entry about what to do in Washington. In the meantime, while some of the legal information will be different in other states, the basis premise is the same.

Riding.....

Posted 01-26-2012 at 04:31 AM by Real Fast Travis (The ramblings of a motorcycle rider)

I used to ride year round, first by choice, then out of necessity.

I guess riding out of necessity ruined it for me. I found myself wanting to ride less and less.

Now, a new job has keep me away from my bike for months.....

Don't really miss it....

I do hope I get back that feeling I once had.... I used to long for the ride, find excuses to ride....

What gives?

Posted 01-25-2012 at 02:55 PM by Real Fast Travis (The ramblings of a motorcycle rider)

I thought everyone knew that you can't get along with everyone all the time.

Anyone who knows me, knows this, and knows I prefer the same.

I have found, especially on this site, some people are so spineless, they have to do...
