BOOM.. thats the first sign I got that the Suzuki has some life left in it..

I tore down and cleaned the handle bar switches last night.. they are all working prefectly now.. then I spent an hour or so chasing a bad ground.. Now that that is all sorted I can hit the button and spin the motor over.. So far so good.. Coils are gettin juce..
I fugure what the hell.. I squirt a tiny shot of gas down the carb boots and hit the switch..

she sputtered twice then BOOM!!!
That'll wake ya up in a small garage.. hehe..
Hit it again and she ran for 3-4 seconds till the prime ran out.

I'm happy.. it LIVES!

Not much else I can do till the carbs come out of the dip.. most of the parts have been run through but the last 3 bodies need to soak for a bit to get the pilot screws to free up.

She still needs fork seals, new tires and a brake flush..

Tell me you didn't dip the carbs!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
All the rubber parts in there will now be garbage.
Carb cleaner and rubber parts don't like each other at all.

I have a full set of new O-rings.. no rubber was dipped that isn't getting replaced.. (just a few O rings I can't get to till the pilot screws free up)..
The carbs were completely stripped down..
I pulled all the shaft seals off and did not dip the choke sliders at all. VM26 carbs so no internal shaft seals to stress over.

Carbs are out of the dip and looking good.
I had to drill and EZ-out 3 of the 4 pilot air screws.. No big deal except for the last one that had an ez-out broken off in it from an earlier attempt to remove it.

I managed to drill down either side of the broken bit and knock the piece loose with a small punch. That left a big slot that I could use to turn the needle out..

No damage to the carb body so I guess I did a good job of it. Gaskets should be in today.. I also need to make a trip to Tacoma Screw to replace some more PO mauled hardware.

I may get to ride it this weekend.. Wooot!
I still need to order new tires.. I've been holding off till I was sure it'll run right.
