Eggsactly. Seems like the only ones posting don' even live in potatoland. I guess all the southern idaho boys are out working the fields getting ready for the winter. Either that or they don't have internet yet.

Were out riding in the beautiful weather instead of sitting in front of our computers!

There are a couple of local forums that get a bunch of action. BRN seems to be the most popular. http://www.boiseriders.net/forums/index.php

wazzu mille, Nice to see another Ape member. I have a '01 Falco and '00.5 RSVR. Love the '04, but it just doesn't fit me as well.

that's alright, the damn thing doesn't fit me either! i guess all i can do is carry around a milk crate strapped to the back and us it to get on and off! you wouldn't think there would be a big difference between the 04's and to first gen bikes. didn't have issues with the 2000. this new one is quite tall.

I've got no problem with the height. I'm 6'2" and the '04 I rode was so cramped I thought I was going to bust a seam. The Falco fits me perfect. I've done 600 mile days on it and it feels great. The Mille is good for around town or doing the Lowman loop. I'm taking it down to MMP next weekend. Now that's it's true calling

haha, i guess you're on the opposite end of the spectrum. yeah, i'm 5'6" and i don't think any bike is cramped for me. even a pocketbike is huge for me

You mean relative to you guys over there or OK in terms of how we define it over here? Well, we rarely get electricity but we all burn coal, wood or wood products for cookin' and blacksmithin'. That's the biggest reason we don't post much. When the power does come on, we all gather 'round the radio for news on how that Viet Nam war is going. By the time we get through the news and the farm report, there isn't much time to turn the computer on. Don't really know why Wazzu Mille sent me one, we cain't hardly use em down here. Kids are growin like weeds though. Good thing cuz harvest this year was brutal and they can help with the cannin' and picklin'. Hogs are doing good but we're gonna need a new milk cow. Old man Carter down the road has a couple, says if we do all the milkin, he'll split it with us. Kids are fine with waking up a 4:30 to do the extra morning chores. We'll make ice cream this weekend - huckleberry - picked the last of 'em this weekend while huntin. Scored a dozen squirrel, but no elk. Wolves have driven em all off. Wolves are thick now. Funny thing happens when you introduce living things into an area with no natural predators - they breed like crazy and make a nuisance of themselves like kill all the large herbivores or live atop one another in high rise buildings. I s'pose when they run out of food and space, they'll turn on each other and it'll balance out. I hear there's an election coming up. Guess I'll have to hitch up the mule and head over to the county seat to cast my vote. Wife tells me she can vote this time. I hafta believe her, I cain't read and she has a newspaper clippin' to prove it.

So all in all, we're doing OK here as we always do. It would suck for us to be there though, which is why we're here and not there.

BTW, I don't hunt or farm or make ice cream. Well, if you understand making ice cream to mean freezing a custard base into a delicious frozen treat. I do like to respond to post whores as sport on occasion when they wander into this isolated corner of PNWRiders-dot-com. It's kind of like virtual Deliverance, Ned.

Y'all come back now, ya hear...

Rob.

Well its is nice to see from your loneliness and lack of outside influences that you have managed to hold onto some form of a sense of humor.

I escaped from Boise (not Boyzee, for you hip hop posers). Although I do visit there on occasion. Thank you, family, for continuing to drag me back to the high desert region again...and again...
Fortunately Hwy 55 and the mountains are not too far off once you get past the hills and Horseshoe Bend.

Due to these asphalt sloths, all of us on this end of the Treasure Valley (tomorrow's lesson) are mercilessly mocked by the drivers from the Boise end of the valley. They keep the mockery mostly to themselves though, as most of us are armed.

Greater Seattle? That's a little presumptuous, isn't it? Although I suppose if you were outside the bounds of the emerald city it would be better than inside the city proper. That begs the question, though. If you were in the city, could that be described as Lesser Seattle? Methinks so...

I was there with the Mille. Great weather for a track day. Too bad it's 400+ miles to any track from here. Then again, I'd be hooked worse than crack. Did any of you make it out there?

rtc_id, that you Rotty? You don't run across sarcasm like that very often.

If so, give me a call sometime and we'll do some riding.

Kevin

LOL! Looky looky, rob has a friend! That's great. Now you guys can post and start a Nampa region. This is sweet. It's like siamese twins separated at birth and now you've found each other after all those years.

I may have scared him last time we met. I swear I'm not gay

He may just want to keep his internet anonymity? Or perhaps he wants to leave his dark past of Aprilia ownership behind?

Oh my god, K-bom, how long you been on here? Now that I've read through the whole freakin thread, I see you've met my dipshit brother. He turned me on to twins (not siamese or blonde fluffer type), I turned him on to 'prillers, then he sold my Falco while I was out of the country, so I went and got a triple, swapped that for a different Italian twin, then Henry and Mike at Big Twin made me a fair deal on a 675, so I got that too.

No, not looking to keep my internet anonymity, just spend less time here than Wazzu Mille does. I'm gonna see him at Thanksgiving so I don't need to respond to his posts. I can tell him he's a dumbass in person, he'll retort with a "so, you're fat", then we'll laugh and go make fun of our old man. He does keep this subforum alive and his needling does attract trolls. W-M is a baiter, a master at that, and that gives me targets. Sorry I missed you the first few times around. I could have warned you that even though he rides a Mille, he longs for a GSXR. He even makes his girlfriends call him 'gixxer daddy'. They don't ride, they think it's some crazy engineer talk. Watch out for that guy, he's trouble.

I put the bikes away last weekend. Well, mentally I did. Stabil, lubed stuff, battery tender. If the weather breaks, it'll be opportunistic riding. How many times you been to Miller? That sounds like fun...

Later,
Rob.

Hey Rob. I just found this place after it was posted for the SBNW Rally. Funny I should run into you. It's been entertaining so far. I can feel the brotherly love Good thing Thanksgiving is coming so we can all get closer to family. You guys need to give each other a hug At 5'6" he must have got the height, but you certainly have the looks

Nice to see your still riding something. I think I'd break one of those 675's. They're not meant for big guys. Hopefully your old Falco found a good home. I took mine to the track twice before I came to my senses. I would hate to toss it down out there. Parts are just too sparse. The Mille R is better suited for the track, and parts are easy enough to find. I've had it down there twice now. You should try and get out there and have some fun. Other than travel expenses, it's not too expensive. I wish we had something closer.

I'm waiting a little longer before I put the bikes up. Hopefully we don't have the winter we had last year. Then again, it was nice being able to water the yard this summer without restrictions.

I'll PM you my number. Give me a call if you want to go out and play some time.

Later.
