Our race Nnumber is 155X, and it will be up on the net with live tracking. There will be a link on the official SCORE Baja 1000 web site at the time of the race on the 20th. You just need to know what race number you want to track. The race will last up to 31 hrs, but we hope to finish in under 17. We're still not sure what areas we will be riding until we do a little recon during pre-running, and figure out who is best at what areas. It looks like I'll be riding over with Eric with the 2009 V-Max, and he will pre-run with me. It is possible that he will also get to race, depending on how things turn out. We leave early saturday morning and will be riding dirt on sunday!

You mean, "Which parts nobody else wants to ride, so I can ride them?"

Anyway, Best of luck, Willy. Try to come back, if not exactly in one piece, then at least with all the pieces still at least partly attached.....JK. Ride safe!

I have a little more pull this time on what sections I want to ride, not just "we need you to ride the San Felepe loop", which translates to Whoop, Whoop, Whoop, Whoop, Whoop............................................f or 50+ miles.

I'm the only one on the team that practices night riding, I've been riding 2 nights a week at Juniper Dunes in the dark now for 2 months. We try to get in about 50-60 miles of Whoops a night, which will help me hang on to the bike for 100+ miles of hopfully non whoops.

I'm thinking I'll be on the bike two different times, for a 40 mile trip about 10AM and a 100 mile trip about 7PM. It looks like I'll be riding the bike from central Baja over to the coast, and about 40 miles of coastline mountain range to about 80 miles from the finish (2nd section in the dark).

Different every year, when times are good, race is longer. Next year it will be a penensula run and most likely over 1000 miles!

Made it down ok, got some work done on the bikes we didn't have time to work on before we left and rode about 65 miles yesterday. The weather is in the 80s, lots of dust. We will be riding the coast section today twice for a total of 110m. I'll do my best to get some pics posted soon, been pretty busy.

Had a great ride yesterday, weather was in the mid 80s. We rode from mile 535 to 600 late in the evening, and went into dark. Two bikes had no lights, and our starter rider Rigo beat us to the truck on a very dark trail with no light. I spent 3 hrs last night getting the lights installed on the last bike to eleminate this problem, not sure if he even needs a light, must have very good night vision. Will be doing bike maintainance today for a 4 day ride near san felepi. My rear tire is already wasted on two short rides, I still don't understand why that always happens!

Will be in San Felepe until Sunday, I have a 40 mile section there. I'll try to post some pics when I get back. We tested the race bike after opening up the air box alot, bike ran great. Should be a competitive bike.
