That close to the headers I'll bet he was nicely cooked when you took him out...or did you have to flip him over and ride a few more miles to get the other side?

Who says you need a shotgun for bird hunting. Now make sure that everyone has their hunting licenses and bird stamps.

The way things have been going lately, not only would they get ya for speeding, but hunting without a license too.

I nailed one in my radiator a couple of months ago. All that was left were feathers. The guy behind me said that pieces of bird flew out from under my bike and over him.

This was my latest hit in the helicopter. I've killed at least a dozen while flying including 8 in one shot. After that, they called me the "Bird Assassin". I nailed one with my hand once when it was resting on the window sill. Luckily we were only going about 90 mph. That hurt like a bitch.

Caught an owl with my big toe at 2 a.m. about a month ago doing FJR nominal speed down in Utah. Hurt like an SOB!

Then it was like a CSI episode with blood spatter up the side of the bike and he wrapped himself around my gear shift linkage like a meat kabob. Ick.

I'm about %90 sure that I took one in the upper arm at about 65. I didn't see it, but the first thing that popped into my head was that someone had thrown a rock at me.

My brother and I were in college in AZ, and rode to OR to see our dad on June 1st when school was out. This was the early 80's. No helmets, no shirts, and 110 degrees the day we left. A dragonfly hit me in the center of my chest. It felt like a rock also. I didn't see it till a fraction of a second before it hit. The evidence was smeared all over my chest. That was nasty!

That's how this was for me. I thought to myself "WTF just happened? Did I just get hit by something?" Looked over my shoulder to see the quail flying through the air and hitting the brush with a puff of feathers in the air behind me. I looked at my shoulder and sure enough there were feathers stuck to me. It didn't hurt at all as I wasn't going fast. Only 40mph, maybe 45? I was completely relaxed when it happened and didn't see the bird coming. Otherwise I imagine I would have flinched, ducked, or done something else? I was just about to turn left and was looking to the left when it hit me.

Hit a robin at 75 on the freeway. Top of the helmet, thought I broke my friggin neck. Got another one at 60 in the shoulder, nothin but a t-shirt. Ouch, numbed my throttle arm, had to pull onto the side of the road with nothin but clutch, rear brake and one dead arm. Took like 10 minutes before my right arm would work again. Left a bigass bruise across my chest/shoulder.
fukin birds

a while back I had a bird t-bone me and get lodged in between the shifter and frame. Then the other day a bunch of birds were just hangin' out in the middle of the road and one didn't quite make it. Left a pretty good blood splatter on my bar-end mirror. I thought I was gunna get hit in the face though.
