I lurk a lot. Baker City is one of my favorite destinations, wouldn't miss a chance to ride the excellent roads and hit Barley Brown's afterwards.

Glad you're not lurking any more, and coming out of the rain to the dry side again.
Is that you in this earlier shot ?

BTW, in finding the photo above, I also found a photo of the OR Trail Motel in Baker City.

Posting it to support this thread

Glad you can make it, hopefully rain gear will not be required for this year's Baker City trip.

If anyone wants to ride with me from Covington or meet me along the way, send a pm. I plan to leave around 8am and head to Tri Cities via Chinook Pass.

I'll probably be passing thru Tri Cities around noon with about 200 miles to go to Baker City. Expect arrival in Baker City about 4:30 pm ish.

If anyone wants to meet me and ride into Baker City via 395, NF52, NF73, SR220, and SR7, send me a PM. These are not necessarily beginner roads, but I ride fairly conservatively, so this is doable if you are a beginner and ride within your limits. I don't expect you to keep up, but I wont run off and leave you. I will make sure you don't get lost.

The best part is what happens at Barley Brown's later.

But you'll have to take it easy on me, I've never been on those roads before. Well, 220??? Anyways.

I'm new to SR220, you could show it to me except that you are the guy that is going to be in Moab that week.

I was thinking of joining you nice people Saturday night and leave from Baker Sunday morning, but as of this morning my plans have changed. I now have to be down south of Salt Lake at Riverton Saturday night. Plus I looked again and seen how late he is coming through and there's just no way I can even ride over with you guys.. It's to bad to I was going to pick your brain on some of the keys things to see while I was down in the Utah and Colorado area.

Pete.........

If you are riding all the way to Riverton then you need a early start on Saturday. Call me before you leave and I can give you some ideas for your trip.

Glad you can make it.....and this should be a enjoyable learning experience and exposure to some of the best roads in the northwest.

I just learned that some of the riders are going to make it a long weekend and ride to Baker City on Friday (which would double the fun). Who is still planning to ride with me on Saturday morning and leave the Starbucks parking lot at 9:00 AM?
