| Training Wheels Joined: Oct 2006 From: West Richland, WA | Steve, No problem riding "sweep" and as slow as I ride it may be the only logical choice!! If you fast guys go ahead of me then I will depend on Mr. Garmin to get me to Baker City. Looking forward to the ride and I will not be called upon to do a B-Reactor tour like what happened with the Kamiah trip. Chris |

| Pit Crew Joined: Jan 2011 From: Kennewick, WA I Ride: 2010 Triumph Street Triple | I was hoping to make this trip, but I'm just gonna start planning now for the Kamiah trip next year, when I have my own wheels again. On a positive note, I start my new job on September 17, so while you gents and ladies are enjoying your rain-free (fingers crossed) weekend in Baker, I'll be doing my last weekend with the hot dog cart and preparing for my new RN job, thinking about you all ![]() |

| Chicken Strips Joined: Nov 2005 From: Kennewick, WA I Ride: ZX-14,C14,FJR1300,S10 | Its only 3 days until our September 15th ride to Baker City and the weather forecast still looks great although the temperatures may be in the low 50s when we leave in the morning....so wear something under your jackets to keep you warm for a couple of hours. My group is going to leave the Starbucks parking lot (at Clearwater & Highway 395) at 9:00 AM. I don't want to leave anyone behind who is a few minutes late but I only have had 3 riders confirm that they will be in that group and I am not going to wait for someone who hasn't confirmed that they still intend to make the trip. Please confirm your wish to ride with us if you have not already done so. This is not a long trip, probably 450-500 miles for most, and there isn't much you need to do to prepare a modern motorcycle for that distance. However, you should check your tire pressures, chain adjustment (if you have a chain), and have a full tank of gas when we leave Starbucks. Our first gas stop will be at Pilot Rock which is about 90 miles. Those that are planning to ride directly to Baker City will probably be able to find the rest of the group at Barley Browns or Stocktons. See you on Saturday! |

Two overnights. Gives time for nice local loop riding on Saturday - all those good Baker area roads! Anybody else, welcome, wants to join Friday AM leave can shoot me a PM. Others who just want to meet in Baker City for Friday evening, early - great. We'll be either in the motel parking lot, or Barley Browns later. Dinner restaurant TBD Friday. <Don't know McRider's Stocktons (yet?)> FYI: Motel has an outdoor heated pool, so maybe be prepped. Bet it'll be the last pool weekend of the year for Baker ... |
