I'm going to be riding my bike in a parade, so I'm out too.

Even though a lot of folks are out this week, that doesn't mean Saturday Coffee is canceled. It's an open event: show up if you're in the area and you want to!

Please stop by, but I know that six of the regulars won't be able to make it so it may be a very small turnout this morning. However like tbolt said

You are welcome to join me, Trobartiz and Rick at the downtown Safeway about 9:10, a small group is riding down to Elkton and back for the Iron-Horse ride.

Creekside Coffee hosts Saturday morning coffee, an informal, more frequent and much quieter meeting than Bike Night. A great opportunity to just catch up with the gang on a weekly basis, sit outside and check out the bikes in the parking lot. Everyone is welcome to come by and chat, set up rides and shoot the breeze.

We ususally roll in about 9:30-10:00. See you there.

For anyone not doing the Astoria ride, I'll be up for coffee at the usual time.

If I drag my butt outta bed early enough, I may be there to see the group off at 9 but'll stick around to BS at 9:30/10.

One thing I like about our group of riders is that we are always setting up and posting plenty of rides. I don't feel obligated to go on every single ride as I always look forward to another ride soon, whether it be a Saturday, Sunday or midweek with some great friends. It is good that I can balance group rides with other hobbies and events knowing that I can catch up with everyone through pics and write ups of the rides I do miss through this forum, Saturday morning coffee and bike night(s).

Is anyone opposed to moving SMC to 9:00am instead of 10:00am?

It just seems better to meet earlier so our mornings are still available to ride or to do whatever.

I would prefer 0900 to 1000 - it makes it easier to come to coffee AND do stuff later. Lots of conflicts with the later time. Don't get me wrong - much better at 10 than not at all!!!!!

I won't be able to make it this week because of family but I know Osufireman wants to meet at 9:00 and kickstands up at 10:00 for his ride tomorrow.

Ride 8/1/2009 Corvallis-Florence-Waldport-Alsea-Corvallis

Seems good to start meeting at 9:00 and BS for an hour until the others wake, err show up.

Post one up and see if you have any takers. It seems like there is always a short ride going after coffee, even when there is also a longer ride going. Some people are either more comfortable with less distance and others may not have the time to devote a full day to riding.

I wish i could make these still. I might be able to make it to next weeks, if i can make the ride from Burns. I get three day weekends every week so i can ride down on Friday. does anyone have a couch I could crash on for a couple nights? also I have noticed the tire pressure goes down on my bike a couple psi/day. I have looked for a hole with a little soapy water and can't find anything. any idea's, other than the flat tire ghost who lets my tire pressure out when im asleep? the tire is brand new, only about 500 miles on it.

Did you check the valve stem and valve? Get a bucket of soapy water and paint brush then paint the valve stem, if that's not it, paint the bead. If it is a new tire the valve or the bead may not have seated properly.

Bob just reminded me of the All British Field Meet in Portland this weekend.

We'll be at Creekside for coffee and may head to PIR for the day. If we go we'll take the car and hope the rain holds off.
