Bike night
First Wednesday of the month, March 5th will be the next one.
If interest picks up and riders come out of hibernation we can discuss every other week after March, say every 1st and 3rd Wednesday.

I'd like to alternate weeks with Albany Bike Night. Maybe 2nd and 4th week of every month. Tues. Wed. or Thurs.? Looking for an Albany location, date recommendations and anyone who may want to head this up.

Just a friendly note from Salem riders to our Corvallis friends - we'd love to combine a ride with you folks sometime soon. Tonight we're riding through Monmouth and Dallas. Maybe we can all meet halfway next time and do a loop together?

Hope you have a great Bike Night.

I'll be there, on my bike! I haven't dusted it off though yet, I just put air in the tires and oiled the chain. It needs a good stem-to-stern cleaning since it got ridden in the rain (under duress) a couple of times over the winter.

Great to see everyone again, such great bikes and welcome Aaron, great meeting you. I didn't get to see you off, I ran into a friend that plays at the Calapooia on Sundays, thought I'd go for a ride Sunday afternoon and end up there for a bite and some music. Stay tuned.

I might be able to get down there tomorrow after work if my boss (AKA Mr. Ass HAt) lets me go even though I WON'T be done with a big project but I moved from Las Vegas recently and don't know Corvallis. Where will you guys be meeting and what time?

Just wanted to say hi. I saw a post on Craigslist and it lead me here. Bike night sounds great. I've recently gotten back into riding with a Honda CM400. I'm looking to find some folks around the valley who might like to do some short rides around the Corvallis area.

It looks like the Salem guys won't be leaving River Road until six. That makes it a good half hour or more to the place called Squirrel's. See ya.

Lived in Corvallis about ten years ago. I loved Sweet Lew's.
I think it's gone now. I used to go to the Peacock. Don't know if that place still exists, either. I need to get back to the area. I have alot of family that live in Albany and Lebanon.

My Grandpa said the Peacock has been here since the 20s. And though Tommy Conner passed away, it's still here. Not as good, though.

Hey, met some of the guys. I had some out of town friends, so didn't hang with the bike folks that long. But will try to make more of these, as I'd like to do some rides in the summer. Thanks for organizing, kzedder.

Thanks Dreness and everyone, it was good to meet you all, and thanks to the Salem riders for stopping by.

We are going to scout the Calapooia next Wednesday for Albany Bike Night. Thought we'd alternate weeks and bring Albany/Corvallis riders together and reason to meet. Ride or drive, rain or shine....Wednesday April 23rd, meet at Squirrel's by 6:00 and ride to Albany.

Albany Bike Night
80% to 100% precipitation for Wednesday so a ride may not be favorable.

I'd still like to check out the Calapooia this Wednesday night as an Albany Bike Night spot. Thought I'd leave from work in the car and meet everyone over there about 6pm. However, if the sun does decide to shine I will ride.
I know Bob and Bert were going to flip a coin and ride over in either the SVT or Buick.

Anyone else for checking it out? Post up.

Thanks

I'd love to but I'm stuck playing mister mom. I considered duct taping the little guys up and stashing them in a closet but I'm afraid they'd chew their way out and trash the place before I could get home. Oh well, maybe next time...

Hey, is it every Wednesday? It's beautiful right now, and I'm going riding. But it looks like there's a pretty good chance for rain this Wednesday.

Have a safe trip Bill, enjoy, looks like it'll be a decent weekend. If you can call a 40% chance of precipitation decent. Take lots of pics.

Hi Cnjef, someone is usually there by 6:00. I rode to work today so I'll be there and ya can't miss my jacket.

I'll try to make it this evening but we'll see what time I can get out of work and up from Eugene. I'll have to cage it, Damn!

That's tempting! I would probably come home sunday to a new set of locks that no longer fit my key if you know what I mean. I promised the little lady that I would work on the never ending remodel this weekend as I have gone out playing the last two.

Have a blast!

Any thoughts (Brad)? Anyone else intrested? If not we will probably stop and see if you guys are still there after our ride. Where is it this week?

Do you want to meet at Squirrel's, (kickstands up @ 6:00) head over to Kings Valley, up to Dallas and then over to Independence for a bite? Maybe Jim can recommend someplace and we'll all be close to home afterwards.

Open to other suggestions.....

The only place open in Independence is a couple pizza places and a couple taverns. Both pizza places are good, but some people complain about the cig. smoke in the taverns. Good burgers though. Then there is Wallery's Pizza in West Salem that is really good, and Abbey's in Dallas. I vote for Abbey's or Mendi's in Independence.

Is there a way to King's Valley that doesn't take you through Philomath?

We can sneak around the backside through West Hills and it pops out on the west side of Philomath at 9th by Beggs Tire.
