The problem with the place in Albany is that they won't order your size in. After Jack spent $1,000 there, they wouldn't order in a set of boots for me. They said they would if I paid for shipping - and return shipping if I didn't buy them. Why not just order online, then?!

They have special ordered stuff for me before without the shipping hassle, but I haven't ordered boots from them yet. They don't stock size 13 wide boots unless I want some cruiser boots, and I can walk into CycleGear and try on all the boots that fit me.

Yah, I should of read this "before" bike night, it was freezing on the way home, and spitting rain. Had fun, and was glad to see the folks that braved the elements to come out. Remember only 2 weeks till we do it in Albany, would love to see eveyone come on out.

I told The Hungarian from the get-go that I'm more likely to break my neck staring at a bike than a woman. So far it's held true. Fortunately she doesn't mind me staring at the bikes. But yeah...a new bike at the anniversary dinner could be disastrous.

There are a few new riders in the Albany area (posted up on ride44).
Told them we could meet up at 5:15pm (in Albany) to head over to Corvallis for Bike Night.

Nakedrider... you in?
We don't have a meeting place yet, will have to see if they are interested or not.
If not, it will at least be you, me, and Etch.

OK.
Albany folks meet up at 5:00pm at the entrance to Bryant Park in Albany for a short mini-group ride to the Corvallis Bike Night.
(that round-a-bout like flower bed area). We can hang out for a few minutes, and then take Riverview into town (from Bryant) + a short trip down HWY34.

Pace will be relaxed to accommodate a few of the newer riders we will have.
Alternate route will be down HWY20 into town to avoid the tar-snakes and corners on Riverview if the newer riders say so.

CheeseDongle... I expect to see you there.

EDIT: we might sweep through Tangent and go the "back way" down Peoria into Corvallis, picking up Troubadour on the way.
This would avoid the busy (fast) pull out onto HWY34, and make a more relaxed trip for the newer folks.

EDIT EDIT EDIT Meet at 5pm, kickstands up by 5:15pm so that we have time to go whichever way we want... and sit and BS longer if we take the short loop.
