This Wednesday will be one year for Corvallis Bike Night and we are still meeting on a regular basis.

This is saying alot in times of businesses and banks closing.

Thank you to everyone who continues to join us for bike night and rides, and welcome to anyone looking for fellow riders to hang with and ride.

I have been busy and I haven't made it to the last couple of nights, so I can't comment on the recent turnout. However, the original intent was no obligation and to make it when you can.

On another note, the moderators of PNWRIDERS provided Corvallis and Albany their own section, only to be left deserted. I am more than happy to promote this site but I get awfully bored writing to myself about myself.

Yeah its kinda a bummer. I ride to work all the time just as long as there isn't any ice, but i guess when it gets cold others aren't as excited to ride. I have noticed the lack of activity. unfortunately I haven't met any of ya guys yet due to prior engagements. Hope to soon though.

We've been holding CBN for over a year, we've learned a lot in the past 15 months and with a New Year we have some ideas.

We have decided that meeting at American Dream Pizza did yield a greater overall turnout and believe that everyone felt more comfortable meeting in a family oriented establishment. So, we will meet once a month on the first Wednesday of every month at American Dream Pizza in downtown Corvallis. Everyone is welcome, students and beginners, bring the kids.

Winter is great for meet and greet, an opportunity to meet riders, talk shop and get to know the people you will be riding with on future rides. The weather will get better and in the spring and summer CBN will be "less talk, more ride".

With that, anyone can set up a ride, Saturday rides or rides to special events and shows. It is best to post on the forum in advance, with a date and meeting place and a route (mention a lunch stop, chowder on the coast usually works). Shorter rides of a couple of hours usually fits better into peoples schedules and remember to take into consideration local events, game days and Sundays as family days.

Everyone is welcome!!

Back in the mid 80s a friend of mine had one of those stripped down. I had a Suzuki 250 and we rode the crap out of those bikes.

He lived near Winco (nothing but a field then) and we would make daily runs up to Dimple Hill and back.

Yes, we had the I don't care attitudes.

We had a great turnout last night, 75% of us rode, which is fantastic for February.

Special thanks to Stacy, Janet and Brandy for representing the female populous. Janet commented that it was nice to see other women there, that it wasn't all guys and encourages more female riders to join us.

We tried to solve most of the world’s problems from icing visors, to discussing mechanical gizmos and brushes for chain lube, how to transport pets in sidecars and learned from 'Bean' of Benjamin Franklin's role in daylight saving time.

We met several new people and thanks to all for coming, keep an eye on this forum for weekend rides; it should be a great summer.

We had a great turnout last night, 75% of us rode, which is fantastic for February. Special thanks to Stacy, Janet and Brandy for representing the female populous. Janet commented that it was nice to see other women there, that it wasn't all guys and encourages more female riders to join us. We tried to solve most of the world’s problems from icing visors, to discussing mechanical gizmos and brushes for chain lube, how to transport pets in sidecars and learned from 'Bean' of Benjamin Franklin's role in daylight saving time.
