See you all at bike night - I'll be by for a short visit in a cage - have to be at PDX to pick up my mom at 8:30 or so, she's visiting from NH for a week. Any bicyclists out there want to show her around? I think she cycles on the order of 10-60 mi per day trip. Probably will ride my recumbent but we could rent a mountain/road bike for her as well. Some day I will be in as good physical condition as she is  |

As suggest earlier, we will be ridding the bike night run before heading over to American Dream Pizza. So for anyone who is interested, we’ll gather at Creekside Coffee (in the Safeway shopping center) beginning around 5pm, kickstands up at 5:20pm, and run the Mary’s Peak/Decker Road route back to pizza & beer! I didn't realize it until Bert asked how long we've been doing this, but tonight was the second anniversary of bike night. Thank you to everyone who keep coming out to bike night and to all the first timers and new faces we see every month. I think we have a great group of riders in this area, thanks for your support and keep spreading the word. And thank you to American Dream Pizza for hosting such a large group!! |

I’ve ridden Mary’s Peak a few times now and it just keeps getting better every time I go. After some pizza and drink, ooeddym and I assaulted the peak again, at night! We ran a little slower pace due to the darkness, and I almost ‘ran’ across some deer crossing the road. Ooeddym said they looked like bucks but all I saw was a big white ass that I could have slapped! Too bad Rick wasn’t there to clean them out for us … maybe next time. |

The wife & I got to ride home with Ducatichick & FreeRadical via Decker Road, then of course, the Alsea curves which are always fun. Didn’t run across any deer except for one, in town, right off the road along Hwy 20 at 35th street, during the road construction – go figure….. |
