Hi all,

Been lurking for a bit, finally thought I'd post. I'm 39 and out of Corvallis. Looking to ride dirt (MX, trails, dual) and street. Currently riding a KTM Super Duke and 530 EXC (addicted to orange!). Been riding on and off since I was a teen. Both my kids ride (son KTM 65SX and daughter Honda CRF50), both getting into MX.

Will make Bike Night soon!

Did I get the vibe of Dual Sport? We need more dual sport riders for sure. Mix it up a bit. You a Flat mountain guy as well? I see so many Orange bikes up there. That is why I am riding Dr. Frankenbike (DR350 with parts from other models and brands on it). Black and white with rainbow annodized parts like an ebay disaster, can't miss it.

Drag out to bike night on wed. I will be on the red F650 BMW. Jason

Depends on the terrain for dual sporting. I'm up for forest service and logging roads no problem, even a jeep trail or so. Not interested in taking a 550# bike on any single track though, I have a dirt bike for that stuff.

And yes I ride at the grade (flat mountain) when it is in season.

Sweet! I will not push singletrack on my F650. No way! Jeep trails are my max as well.

Did my first club ride at flat mountain on Sunday. So cool!! Have not ridden dirt bikes since I was a kid, and I forgot how fast they can be on singletrack. Dual Sports are still good, but not dirtbikes for sure. So I will be anticipating some flat mountain in October.

I can't ever manage to make a work party for flat mountain, so i've yet to get up there. If there is one coming up soon, I hope to make it.

I'm always up for on\off road action, that's been my main type of riding for the longest time. Depending whether I need to ride the bike home or have a trailer nearby will usually dictate where I try to take it. I've mainly been poking around the OHV trails, so I'd love to find some new places to ride.

Check back in for a work party at the beginning of September or end of August. The next riding season is Sept through Nov, weather permitting.

My rides often include at least some gravel and/or dirt roads, unless of course it is a road only. It all depends on who I'm riding with if anybody.

Isn't that the case! Usually I am solo as well. Usually didn't plan on riding there but I thought that gravel road looked good and I don't have to be home for a while......

Hope to see some of you at bike night, Tonight! I will cruise in on the red F650.

So many people downstairs, I never made it upstairs, dang! It was great meeting folks and their bikes. Wouldn't it be nice to have some bike parking there? I saw more Ducs last night than I have ever seen in Corvallis - where'd they all come from?

Heyas. I'm a transplant from SBWS. School curtailed my riding for a while and after that, I got back into bicycling. I'm ashamed to admit that my motorcycle has not moved in about a year. I'm looking forward to getting back into it. Hope to meet up with some of you.

Cheers!

- Keith

Oh yeah!! I love bicycles. PM me and we can ride them. Road or mountain? I have to do both, you know, to keep the cardio up. Jason

Welcome Blocker! Keep checking back on a regular basis. There is usually a ride posted up for the weekend and we get together on Saturday mornings at 10am for coffee at Creekside Coffee off of Technology Loop in the Safeway strip mall. Many times we head out on an impromptu ride from there.

Welcome Buddy and Mark. There are rides being planned all the time, feel free to jump in on one. We ride with people with all skill levels, you just pick your own pace and don't worry about trying to keep up. We always stop at regular intervals.

As for your fork seals issue, stick around for a while and I'm sure someone will help you out.

Fork seals are easy. It takes longer to get the forks off, and put them back on than to change the seals. You should invest in a service manual.

If you don't get the leak fixed soon, at least make sure there is enough oil in them, but not too much!!

It's good to hear that. I actually joined pnwriders because I googled "Corvallis motorcycle forum", and found a result for the upcoming ride from Woodstocks to Waldport.

I wanted to go on that, but was a bit cautious because I'm new.

Welcome to the forum all!

If you are new, stop by for Saturday morning coffee, we'd take you out for a mellow ride.

What's up all.
What's up everyone, this is Lester. I'm 30 and now ride a 2000 Ducati 996. Been around for a while, and looks like some people moved from SBWS. This seems more local, so I belong to both.

Currently I head back and forth between Lebanon and Corvallis on Tangent Drive, just because I've heard stories about riding on 34. I only have a couple miles between Peoria store and town to deal with that way. However, I usually come in around 8:30 am, and leave around 10:30 pm because I have full time school and full time work.

Hey, everybody. I attended Corvallis Bike Night at the beginning of August and it has taken the forum administrator this long to straighten out my forum account. Apparently, my email address was on a restricted, black-list... you know how us bikers are.

Anyway, my name is Dustin and I commute daily on a VFR, plus the occasional long-way-home ride. On the weekends, if I am not teaching for Team Oregon, I try to explore the wonderful back roads we have here. The bike is set up for sport touring and I squeeze in at least one multi-day ride during the summer. My screen name comes from my bike and I have had her on the track a few times, as well.

I have ridden in Corvallis since 1981 but it is nice to connect with some new faces.
