Let's get more technical: The same argument can be made for an SV. So what is/was your point then? Your original post was regarding the pricing difference between the Gladius and the SV. But now you're saying you were comparing new to used bikes.... that just throws out your original point because why buy an SV when you can get a gixxer for only $1000 more!?

In fact you can use this argument on ANY bike purchase! Why buy a Gladius when I can get a salvaged title MV Augusta F4 at auction for just $1000 more!!! ZOMG!

Oh sure change the pic right after I comment! Appearently I was looking at the wrong bike cause that is just as fuggin ugly!
Sorry i was trying to find more accurate depictions. I think that color is hideous too. The Er-6 i originally had up was a prototype with a gull wing style swing arm off the Versys. And the first "gladius" i found from google was a 4cyl that looked way kick ass actually

Why cant we get this here? its a 4 cylinder and looks like a B king that isnt trying to prove how well endowed it is.

The black is...OK, but not enough to get me sold on one of 'em.

I kinda like the ER-6N, but I may be a little biased.

We're making points? This goes against the purpose of internet forums...

I Ride: one handed, looking behind me.
A really good looking bike that hits the target for the intended market.

Realize that it isn't really heavier than the SV650 it replaces. Suzuki is one of the companies that have changed to curb weight measurement this year in place of dry weight. This is an effort to make the published weight at least close to the actual weight of the finished motorcycle.

I Ride: because walking feels so awkward.
They might sell more in a white with hot pink color combination. My wife might want one. That two-tone is definitely a girlie bike. I used to have an early naked SV but this is going in the wrong direction for me. It should be easier to ride for people who like a softer, gentler ride. I believe it has more flywheel weight so it won't be so jerky for newbies. The black is not bad. If it had better suspension and brakes than the SV, along with the SV spec motor I might want one. The unsightly features could be fixed. But then there is the Street Triple that has my mouth a waterin'.
