Columbia Gorge Photo Tag

These rules are copied from Yotasupra's phototag via Willow's phototag. (I didn't want to reinvent the wheel)
The only thing I changed is from 24 hrs to 48 hrs, to post, once you are "IT."

Counties in play: Klickitat, Skamania, Wasco, Hood River

Once tag has been gotten, original tag posted will be pinned to a google map with who originally posted the tag, the post # and who got the tag. When you get a tag, PM me with the location for the pin - thanks!

RULES/GUIDELINES:
º One person is "IT" at a time.

º Since most of us have smart phones and can post via our phones, post the previous poster's tag to claim being "IT". You may post the "current tag" at a later time during your ride.

º If more than one person is at the current tag, first one to post is "IT".

º While being "IT", poster has 48 hrs from claiming tag (use PNW time stamp of post), to post a new tag. Past the 48 hour window, it becomes up for grabs for someone else to be "IT", but they must go back and grab the original tag first. 48 hour window gives an opportunity to have enough time to post a great tag, not just a mediocre tag, allow for enough light to see all visual hints, ect.

º No pay spots. This is a fun, free game. If there is a fee to get into the place, or a fee to take a ferry or something, find a new tag. If taking the ferry is an option because rider doesn't want to ride around, that is their choice.

º Night Tags: Have a good enough flash to be able to see as much as possible. No blurry photos either.

º No NSFW, lets keep the mods happy.

º Current photos only. Don't be a cheat and pull something out of a folder on your desk top.

º Area you are "tagging" with your bike must be in the immediate background of your bike. Landscape in the far off distance is not acceptable.

º Since this is a 4 county tag, please provide a hint as to the location of the current tag.

º Tagged areas must be accessible to every bike (read: sportbikes...lol)

º Assisting people with uploading of their tags is fine.

º There is no time limit on now long a post takes to be found.

This is a fun game, even more fun in a group. I encourage small group rides to tags.

Yep.

I made the first one a little more obvious than normal...but yes, you've got the concept.

Search "tag" in the forum - you can see some examples from other areas.

Fixed it for ya!! you can only push threw IMG's that end in .jpg or .gif The link you tried to use was a link to your gallery not the specific image. If you quote my message the code will appear and you can see how I relocated it. I went to you gallery, right clicked on the image you where trying to post and copied the actual location of this pic which ends in .jpg . Even simple html takes time. PM me if you ever want help

No bike in those pics...so no new tag so far. (I think Silver had just posted some extras that were in the folder where the link posted had led to...dunno).

Fourthearth has till 1pm today to post a new tag challenge. After that, it will default to Infidel to post a new one, as he has posted up a qualifying second tag to the current challenge.

It's been another 48 hours, so the tag is open game now. Paddlewheel is still in play.

I missed it last weekend, knowing darn good and well where it was, but thinking otherwise...went to the wrong town. lol

Come on guys...get out there and tag it (and post a new one)

Just kidding... Yes hobbies are killing my pocket book. But on the up-side.... I haven't been effected much by the recession

I went out specifically to find a good tag, and was too slow to upload it! I suck at the Internet!!!
I ran into WTHI-James at Fun Country when I was getting some new Dunlops mounted. He suggested a good ride to break them in right, and I thought that sounded like a capital idea! We ended up taking the 44road from Dufur to Hwy35. It's a nice scenic route (even though I spent most of my time looking at James' bike disappearing over the next hill or around the next corner!) It was lots of fun! Might be a good route for a SMC sometime.

Thats so funny.... I just took that ride thursday after a doctors appt in Hood River on Thursday, except I went from Highway 35 towards Dufur. Real nice cruse, LOVED it.
