I'm planning on riding the National Trail. Probably in segments over more than a one year time period. My adult son may or may not go with me. I'm looking for others with similar interest.

Also interested in riding in New Zealand in the next couple of years.

Yes, I'm still planning to ride the National Trail. I bought the set of Maps. lots of good info.

I have several bikes:
Yamaha dualsport
Suzuki DR 350
Suzuki DR 400
Suzuki V Strom, DL1000

From the start in Tennessee to Colorado, I can probably get by riding my V Strom. It gets rougher and more difficult in Colorado, Utah and Nevada.
