Recovered bike
Got a call from the State Patrol this afternoon. Spokane Police located my bike that was stolen last August. They found it in the back yard of a house they were doing a warrant service on. Don't know if there were any others that were recovered.

Now I've just gotta pay $300 to get it out of the impound lot and replace the punched ignition.

2007 GS500F. Don't really know what I'm going to do with it yet, I'll have to wait and see what kind of overall condition its in. All I know for sure is the ignition is punched, the VIN was scratched off and they put out of state license plates on it.

Try doing what I did... Talk to the PA and let em know you want restitution... I'm getting $25.43 per month from COLBY BECKHAM till he pays $1000 for stealing and trashing my CR250. I was lucky I found mine... let alone after 4 hours. expect it to take a while.

to Spokane law enforcement again!!!

Ian or another LEO may have some good insight too

Ya didn't have it insured, so it'll be nice to get it back. I just hope it wasn't laid down while they had it, I really don't feel like paying to get the frame straight.

it's the city doing it's duty for recovery. They gotta pay for their investigators and paper work.
friend had a vehicle stolen from CDA, it ended up in Seattle...
STRIPPED! the tow for it to come back was pay for gas but it was still in the police impound for 2 months... 1500 later he got it back...

Well as it turns out the bike was a little more trashed than the trooper made it sound. I didn't end up getting it out of impound, wasn't going to be worth the time and money to fix it.

you might want to give dibs to someone who is willing to pay the $300 impound fee and sign the title over. Just a thought

It was stolen in the middle of the night parked out side, secured with heavy chain and a brake disk lock. They cut the chain and apparently lifted the bike into a pickup truck. A neighbor heard it and looked out side just as the truck drove off.

I would be willing to do that, however I still owe money on the bike, and don't have a title.
