If you think things like this are bad in Spokane you should check the Seattle/Tacoma/SF/ newspapers. Thefts are rampant everywhere. We don't have an exclusive on it. Glad you're getting your bike back. Tragic it costs you 300 bucks. |

I got the bike home and put it in a hole in the shop so I wouldn't have to look at it for a while. I'll pull it out in the morning and get some pictures of the bike and damages up on here then. As for my homeowners insurance?! The claims agent I spoke to was not helpful, I got in a big round and round with him about how my policy covers the structures, dwellings, and all my belongings and furnishings inside and out. But not motor vehicles. His words "that is what motorcycle insurance is for" I told him we are not required to insure motorcycles in Washington State, and he got all silent on me. Then I asked him "What about motorcycles I own, that are in my shop, that are being built or restored, but are not yet registered and therefore could not be insured by motorcycle insurance?" Oh he couldn't answer that one. I gave the guy a break and requested a copy of our policy. I told him he would most likely be hearing from me to either point out why they will be covering my loss since the bike was on my property, or to cancel the policy so I can get real homeowners insurance that will meet my needs. |

Only thing homeowners will cover is gardening or maintenance equipment so riding lawnmowers, rotatillers ect. It will also cover golf carts if the soul purpose of use is for property maintenance. Even an atv use for plowing is not covered. |

I guess the lesson for all to be learned is insure your bike if you value it. I paid under 300 bucks a year to insure two 08 KTM's - my Superduke is a total since I hit a deer, so I am about to receive a check for 8 or 9K to make me whole. I think that estalishes that bike insurance is worth considering. Why wouldn't you buy it ? | |

Whoever stole her did lube the chain, and used chain wax. I think I will put her back together and sell her. The bike needs to be repainted, the front right rotor needs to be replaced (it looks like they held the brake on for the entire joyride) need a new gas cap (they could only get the top half off and the core held strong. this is why they ran out of gas) The rims need to be blasted and re-powder-coated.![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by E10; 08-02-2012 at 10:34 AM.. |

Even the pawn shops wouldn't take it. Someone broke into our garage and stole 3 sets of piece of shit golf clubs for no reason - unbelievable a holes in this world - I do wish I could catch them in the act and have a pellet gun or worse - this kind of stuff makes even moderates crazy |

We had a bicycle stolen from our fenced in backyard last winter. The genius stole the bike right after a fresh snow fall. my son tried to track where the bike went, and I just followed the A-hole's footprints back to where he came from. It was Sunday and still early so the footprints were easy to follow. he burgled several cars from his house to mine. I took pictures of his footprints going around the cars as he checked and jimmied the doors, and the licence plates of the cars he burgled. When I found the house his tracks originated from I called the Leo's, after several calls they sent an officer. He told me property crimes were at the bottom of the list for them and there wasn't much they could do. I gave him all the info and after he left I started knocking on doors to let the people know where the A-hole who burgled their cars lives. I'm not sure exactly what happened but about 10 days later the house is boarded up and hazmat and no entry signs are on the doors. |
