Duane, i hear you. Bikes were always a werid thing when i went to school there. I'd see no bikes at all one day, and the next, it was like sportbikes on every street, but the funniest thing is how there is no CWU motorcycle club that I have heard of? With all the things going on there, im suprised.

Did you PM me about the june triP? if so, i am trying to write you back, i cant find your PM, let me know if it was you ok?

You know what to do.
Print up some 'FLYERS". Take them to the Bike shops and Coffee shops. Putem where people meet.
Stickem on bikes when you see one parked. Post up a bike nite and a coffee get together at least once a week. One each! Take pic's and POST them whenever you have an event. Dont stop, dont give up!

I even used to go to the book store and stuff PNWRiders Flyers in the Sport Bike magazines! Sunday 'Diggity', a TriCity's member flagged over an R6 on the Hi way and gave him a PNWRiders business card!
Be persistent!

Yeah, but it works.
We went from 6 members in the TriCitys 2 years ago to over a hundred. 70 of them 'active' members. We also picked up local Site Sponsers.
As many as 70 bikes on a Wednesday 'Bike Nite', in the summer.
Just gotta get the word out!

I looked in to making an official school motorcycle club but the requirements are too much of a pain. need officers, have to have weekly meetings with officers in attendance, have to attend board meetings, sign dangerous sport waivers, etc. but, unofficial club... wouldn't be too hard to get one going / already have one sorta

Then do an Unofficial club!
You can hand out flyers, and you already have a GREAT web-site!
Have a 'Bike Nite' a week. A Coffee get together on a weekend.

Theres about 9,000 students. Population is about 25,000 with them. I dont know if that counts all the people out in the outskirts and country though.

Since its such a dangerous sport the club would need to be insured and it is a huge hastle. Unofficial is basically what we have. I'm not on gayspace or facebook so I guess I'm not cool enough to be in one of those poser clubs.

I'm going to Jeffs Performance tomarrow, I will give him a stack of flyers to hand out. You guys would be surprised how many eburg riders that are members, I have atleast 25 on my buddies list they just aren't very active. Basically we need to post pics of every meet and ride and post them in the Eburg section to make it interesting to Eburg riders.

Thats another reason it is hard to get this section going, too many squids in Eburg and I hate squids.
But I think the best night for the Bike Nite would be during the first week of April. We need atleast a week to promote it and hopefully more kids will have brought back their bikes from home, Bike Nites would be best on weekdays when people haven't made plans. I don't know, does that sound good?

Just a thought
If you left Ellensburg at 8:00am Sunday morning you could make the Moses Lake coffee morning!

Come on over titan6! Don't you remember the great ride we has last summer around Mt St Helens?

6:30p like last time I guess. (unless you have a better suggestion?) There should be close to an hour of light left.

edit: I also still have the centralriders.com domain name if you have any good uses for it. I sorta tried to make a website but it's really pointless with pnwriders already around.

I agree, the couple people with bikes I knew in E-Burg, other than Titan, were complete D-Bags that actually sought out straight flat roads. The funny thing is, I feel like those folks kind of weed themselves out. Sure they might show up for bikenights, but they don't want to go on any real rides. And if they want to do something stupid when leaving bikenight there isn't much you can do. All we can really do is try to lead by example.

ellensburg kind of sucks for riding. i mean, sure you have the canyon and highway 10. but other than that everything is pretty straight. my girlfriend is from okanogan and there isnt a straight road there. every time we're up there i just imagine how much fun it would be to ride there.

(I'd join ya, but I'm not a big fan of the super-slab)
