I Ride: 2007 Suzuki GSXR 600
Chain Breaking Tool
Hey guys...im in desperate needs to shorten my chain. I went to Jack's and they dont have one I can buy, and im not willing to pay 60 bucks for 5 mins of work. If anybody could help me out that would be awesome.

I Ride: 08 Triumph Speed Triple 1050
I used a dremel tool to cut my links off. But if you have a rivet chain, you are still going to need the tool to put it back on. Or you can buy a clip type masterlink, which is what I did.

lol i was gonna say is there somethin that i didnt think of...ive got a master link, but i need to be able to remove two links afterwards. i was gonna use a hack saw but was thinkin there might be a better way to do it.

A Grinder is much faster, and zip tie will hold better than ducktape would

Dremel or angle grinder to remove links, rivet master link which you will need a tool for to do it right. I'm not a big fan of the clip on master links.

Alot of the equipment at my work is driven by chains and low rpm motors. They're great for maintenance purposes because they can be removed easily, but on a motorcycle you're not removing your chain with any consistency and they don't seem to hold as well.
