Just a little slush he says, as we hurl down the road over 70mph with little more to protect us than some clothes and the only thing keeping us from certain doom are two thin strips of rubber contacting the wet road.

Yeah it was just a little slush. Enough to excite me though.

Hehe....kids.

Trust me, things can ALWAYS be more exciting. Do this gig long enough, there's a chance you will end up riding in conditions you didn't think were possible. Keep your head on straight, don't panic, slow down (or speed-up, if the case calls for it), and always take care of your bike, and it'll take care of you.

I always like when people ask, when I was stuck in nasty weather, why i didn't pull over and stop. In broad daylight, with a passing weather system, that's a great idea. When it's cold, dark, or wet out, and getting worse, your best bet is to just hunker down and press on until you can find a SAFE place to stop and wait it out.

i agree. lol and its usually a big deal the first time. unless your old and jaded. lol
heck i remember the first time i got high centered on a snowdrift, had to throw the bike in reverse and back up far enough to get a good run at it and bust through. it was a big deal then

hm. I have yet to ride around in snowdrifts on a bike. I typically prefer 4 wheels for that sort of thing.

For those of us who ride "normal" bikes, that statement is WRONG on so many levels....

You'd be amazed what you can safely ride your bike through.... however, the worse the conditions, the better your chances of ending up a hood ornament. I'd be fine with riding my GSXR across a frozen lake....but if there's sombody driving a car within a half -mile of that lake, I'm gonna sit it out.

Fuckin cagers.

On a side note, I found my car key.

Yea, I've seen him in a car. It was at Starbucks though, so I don't think that counts.
